Swoonfest Saturdays: In My Bag ~ My Office Goes With Me

I'm always running around and since my schedule switches, gets added to, etc I like knowing that I have my basics with me. Roll over the above images to find out why I love what I carry with me in my Linea Pelle bag to stay on top of everything I do from running to showrooms, styling my clients, taking care of Shoe Week business and of course all the items that come across my emails as an Accessories Expert. I have a number of tech that comes along with me and yet I always have a number of items for a quick change as well.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Signature Hue

Growing up, I was all about black and grey - they were my favorite hues. I felt that it looked super chic and although I was right, my closet was devoid of a lot of colors that are necessary for a well rounded wardrobe. Then I moved on to college and I definitely fell in love with grey to such a point that I began to banish black and go the other way with this heathered tone. It was coming to NYC a little over 10 years ago where I learned balance and embraced other hues. When Kitten Lounge came along, I eventually came to the logo that currently sits on the site. To be honest, I was not a fan of pink; however, it's become a color I have embraced to such a point that I have it on in some way whether it's my accessories, tech accessories and beyond. This look is all about rocking 2 hues that continue to run throughout the outfit. I don't do it often so it's fun when I opt for this style. With NYFW being around the corner, I have a number of appointments in showrooms whether I'm previewing a line or am working on styling runway shows for this time of year. I live for fab blazers, leggings and great pieces that let me wear an outfit from day to night regardless of how my schedule evolves through the 24 hour clock.

As much as possible, I have begun to add pink within various apparel choices and if there is a signature event that I am attending, I definitely wear this as this color now works across all the brands that I have in addition to Kitten Lounge! I'm a huge fan of Vince hot pink silk shirt which is perfect in all seasons as it can be layered or worn alone. Pair this over black J Brand leather leggings which is another staple in my closet. Complete the layered look with this fab Celine blazer (love the button detailing). I love rocking a fab scarf and have to admit that that portion of my closet just continues to grow, this one by Marc by Marc Jacobs is perfect.

I then think of my fun pieces and in this case, I'm loving these Alexander McQueen grosgrain heels with a bow - it's sweet and yet edgy. Geometria is in full swing with this Laura Bohinc sun and moon ring which is a conversation starter without a doubt. Ivanka Trump's necklace adds in a bit of heft and old world glam while these fingerless gloves by Imoni bring edge as well as allowing you to work on your phone as you're running around - I'm never without fingerless gloves.

Finally it's all about the bags. iPads are necessary in all that I do so keeping them safe while stylish is essential. This Burberry Prorsum metallic pink leather case is perfect and fits within this 3.1 Phillip Lim bag with a great slight foldover detail. Together it's a fab look or a great way to think of pieces that you wish to add into your look but to rock another way.

Swoonfest Saturdays: Event ~ Barely There & Jersey Couture

Yesterday my sister and I headed down to my favorite section of the city! As a former lingerie model, I love going to showrooms to see a number of undergarments. After getting to Hanes Showroom, we made our way to the Barely There presentation. I love the fact that this brand is all about seamless underwear - seeing lines is uber tacky but I also love the comfort that it provides when you're just wearing it around your home, running errands or when you're traveling! In addition to previewing new items from the collection, I loved that we met Christina and Kim Scali (as well as their fab mom) from the hit show Jersey Couture on Oxygen Network (currently filming their second season now) - they also have a fabulous boutique in Freehold, NJ - Diane and Co.

I loved seeing the full collection from shapewear, to push ups, comfy items and so much more. There are a number of fun hues and colors and seeing Kim and Christina walk us through the line and talk about their experiences as well as fitting women in their boutique was definitely a nice add in to the event. Once we left the event, we had a phenomenal series of bras, panties and shapewear as well as a very nice gift certificate from Macy's. Above are images from the presentation, the fabulous sisters (as well as a peek into their new accessory line that they received literally the day before), models rocking the line, their fab mom who looked fabulous and a quick pick of all my goodies! I'm personally obsessed with the t-shirt bras whether they have foam or don't have foam in them. Because they are so soft, you can also take the straps down, make them a one shoulder and so much more - fab!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Inner Snowbunny

Usually, Friday is my day to work a bit and then get the weekend started early but today I have meetings that I will head to, a lunch date and a conference call. I guess today I really will be working until 5pm right before the start of the weekend! But I do love that my job allows my style of dress to be very flexible. Today you will see me wear the look above which is chic, warm and super cute! We are still having issues with snow here in NYC so I'm rocking snow bunny chic for sure - cute jeans, a plaid button down and Sorel Boots. This look is completed with fab accessories innncludinga phenomenal handbag that is perfect when you're running from showrooms, Koi and then a coffee stop. Get the look that shows how to wear snow chic complete with gear while still looking phenom!

Treasure Tuesdays: Project Accessory ~ Accessories Designers Keep It Coming

Last week, I sent out a major call for Accessories Designers to send in their information to be apart of Project Accessory! The response has been amazing and we have great shows starting April 6th! I'm proud to say that most of April and May has been taken up for these weekly slots. You guys know that I am a fanatic about organization as I love my Editorial Calendars so having yet another calendar to work on is amazing. Although slots are filling up, we still have plenty of room as we will do this throughout the year and many of the designers will make it into a book that will also be apart of this theme.

Continue to flood my inbox whether we have worked together or haven't. There are so many fabulous rings, belts, shoes, clutches, hobo bags, earrings, cuffs, bracelets, etc that need to be shown. In addition, there are amazing designers that I see at the Accessories Shows, other trade shows and of course within their showrooms that I can't keep those goodies to myself. Today's post is yet another call to action as we begin filming next week and for now, I'm keeping the designers under wraps but they are pretty phenomenal. Above are pieces that are definitely amazing to include in your spring and summer wardrobes. Thank you to everyone that has submitted as it's quite a process but I am looking at your lookbooks, websites, etc and the calendar to fit you in. If you haven't heard a response yet, I will be in touch soon. You can also find out additional information by visiting Project Accessory on The Style Pod. This is where there will be information about designers that are participating, our media partners (we have a huge one that we can't mention just yet but it's exciting) many of the call outs will go here but of course the content will also be here as well.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Errands in Comfort

Whether you have casual Fri, are running last minute errands for the weekend or are trying to button everything down by the weekend before heading to LA for one of the biggest weeks ever (yes that would be me), you can still do it in style and comfort. I love tees and jeans as this combo is as essential and common as PB&J. I never know where my days will take me; however, if I know that I have in and out appointments with showrooms, a quick bite with the girls and other personal items, I'm happy to be dressed in my preferred look. But since I don't know if someone will want me to pop in, I definitely had to find a way to update one of my college oriented looks. I love that this one shoulder top has a striking graphic, is one shoulder and it's grey (when I visited Josie Natori and saw that her closet had amazing pieces and they were all black, it made me think of my closet where I embrace color but I have lots of black and grey in there). This paired with skinny jeans is not only chic but is truly comfortable. To make the look complete, I adore Ippolita which has bracelets that can be stacked and gives it a femme rocker look when paired by these booties from Elizabeth & James. All you need is a fab cocktail ring like the one made by Iosselliani and you're all set!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Wishing For Warmth

It's so hard! When the weather starts getting chilly but I'm watching shows like the Hills, I wonder why I couldn't have decided to move to LA as opposed to being in NYC. But then I remember that NY is someplace that I could never be away from and if cold is the tradeoff, then I would need to just deal with it! The good news is, I'm able to travel so I never have to stay in the cold for too long. Thinking of LA makes me remember that I have plans to visit later on this year or as late as Feb and I love the idea of mixing an element of summer with a bit of fall. I'm obsessed with kimono outfits (yesterday I was wearing a kimono top over a pair of jeans) but if I were out an about in LA, I would love this simple Kimono jumper by Joie paired with these booties. I love that they're suede and have a bit of rocker detail. To add to that, the cuff of metal feathers is the perfect compliment and today, I'm including a Mother of Pearl, snail shell, Agate piece from my jewelry line, Kitten Couture!

I could imagine this on a day meeting with showrooms to talk about new collections, meeting with friends, heading out to dinner and more! Just looking at this look makes me want to start planning trips to leave the impending cold! Even if you're not heading anywhere, these are great pieces to begin including within your closet or at the very least, you'll want to click within the spread and check out the fab brands! For those that are fan of Kitten Couture, contact me as I have a special promo that you can use from now to the end of the month to add a little spice into your jewelry collection!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Welcome Fall in Your Home

It's all about the home - we spent many moments there and the dynamic of it changes as we take on new projects. It's essential to maintain this space much like we would our closets. Whether you do it little by little or take a room by room approach, here are some ideas that I have! I love the rustic chic look that Pottery Barn has right now! With us living on the beach, we also like to add these elements too. The Wine Bar Treasure Trunk is perfect for a coffee table and also to stow some of your wine as well. With a focus on the living room or a sitting area, my goal is to have an inviting space that's perfect for large and small gatherings. I love the idea of adding various baskets as it adds elements of styles that you're trying to bring together.

In addition to baskets, I have gotten into glass as well! I love natural stones and shells so adding this is a way to present ornate objects into a room and to balance it with the rustic feel. A throw blanket is a great way to add a cozy element as well! By putting everything together, you're home doesn't have the look of being an exact replica of a showroom or your favorite home store! Think about how your room will reflect all your styles in one place

Fashionable Fridays ~ Silver Goddess

I love goodies that come in the mail or those that come to my email. Kitten Lounge is always excited to partner with exciting brands, showrooms, PR firms and more! Look LA is definitely an interesting company that keeps their clients extremely visible! Amanda Righetti hit a recent event in this silver stunner by Dina Bar-El! Being a fan of silver, I knew this was the perfect dress to feature for today's post and although she looks fabulous, I have to say that I would have went another way in the accessories department! I love the effect of blue with silver maybe because I associate the two colors with water and flow. To that end, I would have popped a little sapphire in it and I think no evening out can be complete without a little python! This would have been a great way to add a little more texture and just to have a little something as the dress really speaks for itself! As always, the links are in the spread so click away!
