As we continue to transition into spring weather we can wear less outerwear and get back into wearing heels and cycling through a number of fun accessories! Roll over the above images to see how this fun look with a focus on yellow is the perfect look for wherever you're heading off to this weekend. Wrist Wednesdays ~ Dynasty Style in 2013

Growing up, one of my favorite shows was Dynasty (one can only hope that they will do the same thing with this show that they did with Dallas to bring it back)! I loved the clothing, accessories and more. Now many of those looks were very 80's but that grand sense of style is one that never goes out of style. A signature Dynasty element is fabulous baubles and decadence and the good thing is that this can be worked into your everyday wear, when you want to step up your style or to go all the way to all out glam! Roll over the images above to see why I'm loving these items from Alexis Bittar, Giles & Brother, Tom Binns, Deepa Gurnani, Miu Miu and Azaara

Trendy Thursdays ~ Silver Disco Beauty

As you're reading this, I'm already on my flight jetting to Charleston to style Expatriate Clothing for their runway show during Charleston Fashion Week. It's going to be a quick trip but definitely fun to be in a different environment for awhile. What I do love about traveling no matter how long it is, is that you can have a number of fun beauty items that you can try on when you're in a new climate. The same can be said when you're heading out for a fun night out, sometimes you start looking for or purchasing items that work within the theme that you're looking for when it comes to having a great night! Today's post focuses on silver and how fab it is to include in your look.

SHOE INSPIRATION

Today's look was inspired by these fabulous Christian Louboutin heels which are peep toe, wedges and espadrilles. Not only will you be in trend because they are snake embossed - but they're perfect to be worn with a number of looks. Since these are classic and timeless, you'll want to check out other items that are highly suggested.

GET THE BEAUTY LOOK

Roll over the images to find out why you need the above items to complete your beauty look! Whether it's beauty items, skincare or just ensuring that you're always put together, I think that you will find something that works for you! Silver is a great alternative to rocking gold looks (another alternative that you can consider is bronze).

Wrist Wednesdays ~ Knot Bracelets

Who doesn't love a fabulous bracelet that has knot details on it? Whether you love wearing a Celtic Knot or simply like having this adornment on your wrist, this is a must have to rock this Spring/Summer season and is truly a classic! I have a number of faves that I'm loving with mixed metals, embellishment and more whether you're rocking jeans or having fun layered looks for a night out. Although the knot style is classic, this doesn't mean that there aren't elaborate ways that this can be worn from a simple knot to those that have more depth in order to rock out your accessorized style.

Starting with the simple knots, I like the Makri White Gold Bracelet which has an additional embellishment of a pearl. It's such a streamlined look that works well with a number of your looks. This simple double knotted sterling silver bangle by Gucci is a great open when you want a bit of a twist as well. Simple knots continue with Charriol's Double Bar Diamond Knot which is also great as a stackable. Another simple knot which is an Equestrian Twist Knot Michael Kors piece which looks great with a number of looks. Giles & Brother Arch Knot Cuff is a great way to add a bit of gold bling for a bold look.

For those that opt for intricate knots, there are a number of suggestions to help build this portion of your jewelry closet! Rachel Zoe's Knot Bangle is the perfect combo of gold and bling together! Adami and Martucci have a fab knot bracelet that involves a mesh material which is a great way to try this trend out! The knotted heart by Tiffany and Co is a great bangle to add to your collection.

Finally we have a collection of knots that definitely add a bit of drama. The simple knots that were mentioned before are increased within this fabulous bracelet by Gar-De. For those who like the celtic trend, this Nadri bracelet has these classic elements to wear with whatever you will be heading off to. Finally take knots that are typically done when sailing into this piece by Franz Marfut Lucerne wire bracelet in a great rose gold hue.

Wrist Wednesdays ~ Stacked Bracelets

We may be having some rain but that doesn't mean we can't begin focusing on Spring by buying some fabulous baubles to rock on our arms! I love stacking pieces whether it's a few items from one designer or a number of them - it's about whatever reflects my mood at the time! For an easy way to rock this look, there's a 5 piece set of stackable gold cuff bracelets by AV Max available at Max and Chloe. Another bangle set plays off of one of the fabulous trends in this spring's hue - the nectarine/tangerine color by French Connection which is a vibrant orange with silver - this is great for adding in a bohemian and ethnic vibe as well. Eddie Borgo's bangle set is a nod to geometria which will create a nice texture to your look. In addition, another great option is Wendy Mink's stackable bangles in assorted colors. I also love pieces where you can have one bracelet that looks like it's a stack (and yet it isn't - this is great for those that like the look but don't want to here the jingle on their arm). I suggest Ippolita's Rock Candy which is a 5 stone sterling silver bracelet.

When you're all about stacking the way you choose, there are so many options. I love Roberto Coin's Primavera bracelets which have an amazing texture and can be worn from day to night. It's available in a white and yellow gold. Kate Spade has fun bangles whether you're interested in the Idiom (various hues and sayings) or Tickle the Ivories - these are all great pops into your look. Add bling to your look with Hari Jewels with options in sapphire, diamond and ruby. Charriol is one of my fave brands as I love the cable cording whether it's the 5 Station Diamond, the classique bangle or the singular bead. Lagos Diamond Caviar Bracelet is super elegant and adds depth to the look. Finally take it ultra glam with Effy Collection in pave Champaign Diamond and Gold.

Wearable Wednesdays: Awards Season 2013 ~ People's Choice Awards

Tonight, The People's Choice Awards had a number of celebs hitting the red carpet and I had to choose my favorites! I love when the carpets have fabulous white dresses on them. Taylor Swift looked phenomenal in this classic Ralph Lauren plunging dress accented with turquoise earrings was the perfect touch. Ellen Pompeo looks fabulous in this long white bohemian maxidress by Lanvin which I could see being such a versatile piece to wear for a number of things such as a night out, a day of shopping and on a rooftop in Miami. Rumor Willis looks phenomenal in her black and silver Alice + Olivia dress (we had posted about the green version of this dress during the holiday season) which has just the perfect amount of sparkle. Finally Nikki Deloach has this fabulous dress that makes me think of Audrey Hepburn (we'll update with the designer).

Swoonfest Saturdays: Miami Edition ~ Prep For a 2013, Beyond

Everyone (including Kitten Lounge) has been taking the "look back" over the past year of 2012. We have shared things that we have loved about magazine covers over the years, our favorite celebs, press trips to amazing locales and of course the launch of Shoe Week! It could take a number of posts to share everything but it's time to focus on what we can't wait to continue sharing and including on the site and our related properties!

As the winter weather is being felt more each day with snowstorms, winds, etc - our thoughts turn to Miami and more specifically, South Beach! I call this location my favorite place - especially The Delano and The Loews - South Beach, I'm obsessed with The Standard - Spa Miami Beach which is included within today's post! This is definitely a view that's perfect when you're escaping the cold and need to gain a new perspective. The next time I'm heading down to South Beach, I'm going to check it out for sure! While down here, it's all about fabulous swimwear and being able to transition easily between taking a dip and gliding in and out of boutiques and our favorite spots for a bevvie and nibble!

Typically, I'm not a matchy matchy girl; however, I love this kaftan and bikini from Emiio Pucci - I love a fabulous neutral with a pop of decadence. Of course, it's essential to ensure that this look is complimented with fabulous gold and silver which is a great way to show a little bling. As always, I adore Balenciaga's Classic City bag and this silver hue is perfection when paired within these fabulous gold/silver Jimmy Choo Malika mirror perforated leather sandals. Add a bit of whimsy with this Amedeo Rose Gold elephant necklace and this fabulous Roberto Coin stingray cocktail ring in gold.

Infusing Great Gatsby Style Into Your Look

GG-06432r: CAREY MULLIGAN as Daisy Buchanan and LEONARDO DICAPRIO as Jay Gatsby in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' drama "THE GREAT GATSBY," a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Photo courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures

The Great Gatsby, Scott F. Fitzgerald`s famous novel about the roaring 1920s, has inspired a look all its own. Meant to be a blend of modern style with the fashion earmarks of the novel`s decade, getting the Great Gatsby look is all about accessories and pairings.

Hairpieces

A sparkling hairpiece that stands out is a must-have part of the Great Gatsby look. For example, try a jeweled headband with ornate etchings or an accent stick with a jeweled end placed through a hair knot.

When you`re looking for hair accessories, make sure you`re sticking to pieces that reflect the time period. Dull golds, silver and diamonds are the best way to go. Clear gemstones were more common than colored ones in the hair accessories of the era.

For headbands, try to find bold, swirly patterns as opposed to the traditional U-shaped style. Hairpieces were immediately noticeable in the 1920s and should not be easily hidden by your hair.

Jewelry

Pearls are a surefire way to introduce the Great Gatsby look into your style, especially long and knotted strands. Choose traditional pearl colors, such as white and pink. Darker colored pearls were not common in the 1920s.

Earrings and rings should be "baubles," or large and noticeable. Pearl and diamond accents are preferable with silver or neutral tone dresses, but look for colored gemstones if you`re going with a color theme. For example, if you have a green dress and shoes, you can use accenting emerald-hued stones in your jewelry pieces to set your entire outfit off.

Dresses

A traditional flapper dress is beaded and should make some noise when you move around in it. While the dresses vary in length, often showing the knees, cleavage was often minimal. Look for dresses with higher fronts and a rounded or uneven bottom to get the correct look. Fringe is a must in a dress in the Great Gatsby style.

You have a wide range of colors available, depending on what level of Great Gatsby style you`re aiming for. If you want to go bold, try reds, golds and greens. For a more traditional look, stick to silvers, grays and variations of light brown, such as gold and shiny tan.

Accessories

Gloves, feathered boas and cigarette holders and cases were all popular in the 1920s. If you decide to go with gloves, stick to basic colors in a satin material. Gloves should be full length, past the wrist.
Purses were smaller and often matched the dress in the 1920s. Look for beaded or fringe purses, particularly clutches or other small evening purses, to complete your look. Try to find a purse that matches or complements the colors present in your dress.

Shoes

Heels were a part of most flapper outfits, particularly high heels in a traditional style. While not as comfortable as the sneakers on Etnies Shoes, higher heels in a neutral shade are preferable for the Great Gatsby look. Try on heels beforehand so you go the highest you can without being uncomfortable.

Mingling Mondays: NYE 2012 ~ Silver Glam

It's almost New Years Eve! We're a big believer in making sure that we send the year off in a great way so that when the clock clicks over, you're still ringing it in well. Of course, we have fabulous options that you can think about for whichever way that you will be spending the holiday. If you're all about ultra glam and decadence then this is definitely a great series of items to consider. Start off with a fabulous silver gown with a plunging neckline by Jenny Packham which is so old world! David Yurman is a fabulous choice whether you're talking about this fabulous onyx necklace or this quartz watch just to ensure that you arrive fashionably late! Continue making this look count by pairing it with these fabulous Rene Caovilla Swarovski Crystal embellished sandals. As a huge fan of onyx and of course silver, I love this ring by Ugo Cacciatori which is ornate and definitely a conversation piece. Finally, add in a pop of color with this Kara Ross Prunella python clutch which incorporated neutral tones as well as a pop of pink within this fabulous envelope case!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Win My Clutch

Roll images for more information about the goodies I'm rocking

As many of you know, I was on HSN this morning and again this afternoon! What's it like to be here? Well in addition to being able to hang out with the HSN hosts and other people that make the show amazing, I also play a lot of catch up - this season, it's all about me working on Shoe Week. I also love doing little catnaps so that I can stay refreshed. I'll be posting my looks soon but for now - here is a portion of the look that I wore as I was coming back from my last show and getting ready to head out for dinner!

I'm always mixing things and today's look was a simple cowl neck top that I got from Forever 21 which was paired with leggings from Avon that are a jegging with tones of grey/brown. I love the fact that all these accessories play together in a fab way including Stella & Dot's layered charms which is a fab bird on top of the Tree of Life charm. I also love fun bracelets such as my two fave Charriol and my Lagos Jewelry Caviar bracelet. Slipping on these Havaianas in silver tie the look together. When I'm out and about, it's all about grabbing a clutch to keep it easy, today I'm rocking my Dylan Zip Clutch from Linea Pelle which folds over with a magnetic closure to look like an envelope. When you lift the flap up and unzip it, you have full use of the inside of the clutch! We are offering this fabulous clutch by entering below!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Ray of Sunshine

I am all about running around and getting my day to day tasks taken care of - even in this heat! Sometimes it's not an option to put it off or to hope for rain so you just have to think smarter and lighter!. I'm obsessed with this Malene Birger style as I was obsessed with it when I saw it in black and white and now that I see it in this washed out yellow - kismet! Bottega Veneta has a fabulous cowry shell pendant necklace on a silver chain as well as python wedge sandals. Because I love mixing textures as well as metals, I love this Roberto Coin diamond bracelet that has silver, gold and rose gold - decadent. I would also pair this with Nicky Hilton's quartz ring which is a nice pop. Finally, I'm OBSESSED with Jimmy Choo's leopard print calf hair bag! I love that their bags also come with a cuff that can be an accessory to your bag or one that you can slip on your wrist!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Prep For the 4th

Where is the summer going? In the midst of the bombs that have been dropping today - Tom and Katie divorcing, Lauryn Hill going to jail and Adele bringing in a bundle of joy (if you haven't heard get thee to E! immediately). In the midst of the madness, we're in the midst of planning 4th of July outfits! We'd kick it off with Diane von Furstenberg whoc has a fab white bikini with knot details. This will look amazing with Virgins, Saints and Angels Magdalena necklace! As you strut around your roofdeck watching the fireworks, rock these Christian Louboutin python and lace wedges! Finally, when you have to rock appropriate attire, slip on Roberto Cavalli with this dynamic red and white caftan.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Chimney Sweep Inspires

Today I did a fun photoshoot and rocked one of my new fave colors from ButterLondon, Chimney Sweep - a smoldering grey color with a bit of shimmer in it. I love all kinds of grey hues and this was super inspirational for today's look! I'm OBSESSED with maxi skirts and love this one by Tart which has stripes but I love that they are a little all over the place to give it a fun look. Keep it simple with a white tank from Anthropologie which is made of yarn and will keep you easy peesy breezy when you're running around!. Rock these gladiator sandals from Jimmy Choo and slip on this python gem ring by Ted Rossi! Finally, I'm loving this must have Max & Chloe. This is such a fab look and one that is perfect for a number of your summers!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Sophie Bush CFDA Awards

Last night we watched a number of phenomenal looks hit Alice Tilly Hall at Lincoln Center for the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards. Actress Sophia Bush rocked a fabulously vibrant tangerine Signature dress by one of my fave designers that I have rocked for appearances and shoots by David Meister. I love that she rocked Lorraine Schwartz jewelry which gave her amazing bling and she had on a pair of Christian Louboutin heels that had a pop of blue and citrus/rose hue. To end the look, she had a gold crystal and skin Lana clutch by Daniel Swarovski.

I love this look and think that she looked fabulous. If I were wearing this dress, I would have opted to have a necklace as I feel that this is missing in this look - placing this Emily Armenta New World Green Turquoise Cross on a long or doubled chain would have been perfect for this plunging dress. I would have stayed in Louboutin's but would have rocked the Lady Max Spike T-Strap in silver (I also love it in gold as well as a darker metal hue) and finally, for the perfect cocktail ring - you can never go wrong with the I-Lunga Carnelian Turquoise Tower Ring which is old world!

Christian Louboutin shoes, and a Daniel Swarovski gold crystal and skin “Lana” clutch.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Travel Ready

I love finding my perfect outfitr to travel in so that I can hit the ground running when I land. On Thurs, I will head out to Tampa for another series of shows on HSN. I always take the same flights out and back. I love an early morning flight to Tampa so that if there are delays, I have plenty of time since my shows never start until the next day. Upon landing, I always meet up with my rep as we catch up, then we do a training session, I go back to my room to lay everything out, pop back out for lunch, spend some downtime and then go out for a reasonable dinner and then back to the room to prep. Because of this schedule, I never really change out of my clothes. Here in NYC it's rainy and in the 60's and I'll be heading down to 90 degree Tampa so I like a convertible outfit.

I'm loving these Alexander Wang pointelle leggings paired with this twist racerback tank from Rag & Bone. These can be worn alone but when you hit the flight, I love this striped Haute Hippie black and cream cardigan which is cozy and will look fab with a scarf to make everything super cozy on a flight. Finally accessorize it up with this Marni cotton and gold toned brass necklace. Slip on this Giuseppe Zanotti tubular ring and complete the look with this fabulous pair of Chrissie Morris striped sandal which is such a fab look!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Brighten Up Derby & Cinco De Mayo Parties

What a week and now it's the weekend! As many of you know I am newly (within the last year or so) obsessed with this bright pink color as well as it being apart of the colors of this site and I have always been a HUGE fan of silver. I think everyday should have a pop of bling in it! Today is not only Derby Day which is huge as I grew up in Indiana and have had a few opportunities to attend the Kentucky Derby during my collegiate years as well as Cinco de Mayo which feuls my love for Margaritas (make them lychee please) and nachos! So for those of you that are kicking off the day with brunch, moving it to themed parties and of course embracing Derby and CDM (as well as the Super Moon - I mean can today get any larger) - I have the perfect casual look that you can rock!

Feel the Piece's V-neck maxi is everything and more! Walk in the room and brighten it up in an instant without saying a word! Rock it up and out with these fabulously decadent Prada sandals. Fuel your inner luna goddess with this Judith Jack Sterling Silver Marcasite cocktail ring and cap it off with this fab clutch from House of Harlow which has silver and rust - to give you just enough edge!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Janina Gavankar Gown the Ultimate Accessory

Yesterday, I shared how much I liked Paula Patton's look on the red carpet as it was a stunning Canary color. Although I loved many of her accessories choices, I had to pop in some other elements if you wanted to make it slightly edgier. Today, it's all about the dress being an accessory and I have to say that Janina Gavankar of HBO's True Blood wore this one of a kind silver sequin illusion dress by Jean Fares Couture to HBO's Post 2012 at Circa 55 Restaurant in Beverly Hills Golden Globes Awards Party. I love that this full length gown had nude sleeves and had sequin applique all over! This is one of those RARE cases where worrying about necklaces and bracelets becomes unnecessary as the dress in itself is the total accessory. I also love that this dress is backless and is stunning which she wore so well! I do love that she popped in a fabulously large ring which makes the look amazing and I believe she is wearing Jimmy Choo silver shoes.

Janina walked the carpet in this silver sequin illusion gown featuring full length nude sleeves with sequin applique. The gown is from the new Jean Fares Couture Timeless Collection which is a series of sequin and hand-beaded gowns.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Banded Holiday Hostess

When you're the hostess and it's the holiday season, you can rock whatever style you want to! Go over the top and wear pieces that you would definitely look at but think twice about wearing any other time of year. So if it's all about going big and being the complete center of attention, then you can't go wrong with this banded dress by Herve Leger! I love that it mixes fuchsia and a great plum tone together! This strapless and curve fitting number is such a pop factor that having a subtle necklace by Miguel Ases which has one of my fave elements - labradorite. Slide on this mixed metal ring by none other them my faves, Virgins, Saints and Angels. By mixing in the two tones, it allows you to play up mixed metals. This Fevi Reyes hammered cuff has a nice elongated look to it and to top the entire look off, slip on a pair of YSL. The "hostess with the mostest" is now complete!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Bowl Your Space

A few days, ago I received a Michael Craig (founder of Dinette.com and Interior Design Guru) Collection Silver Bowl. This was definitely a thank you gift but also a great way to challenge how to take something and put it in your space and to optimize its use. As an Accessories Expert and Designer, I always have bits and baubles lying around that I need to be able to get quickly! I took my silver bowl and places in loose stones that I have used for my jewelry and placed my go to rings (we all know my on going obsession with Virgins, Saints and Angels) within the bowl which can sit anywhere that I happen to be but is the perfect item to have on your nightstand in your bedroom! With that said, I wanted to take these natural tones and create an overall look that will be amazing for your room to create a seasonless look!

Switch out your bed and make it a nice marble grey effect by having this Coralie Bed available at Anthropologie. Change your pillow covers with this marble effect pillow cover that's at West Elm and continue the marble look on this rug from Neiman Marcus whether it's by your bed or in your bathroom. While you're at West Elm, you should also check out some soft lighting with this fab Capiz Pendant light fixture.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Mix Media Like Beyonce

Accessories Expert/Stylist Q&A: What's a great way to tone down a look that shows a bit more skin via accessories?

There are a number of ways that you can go with this look! I love rocking low cut tees or blazers as jackets. This can be done regardless of the time of day. This question is definitely more important when you're thinking of showing a bit more skin when you're still going to work or running around in the day or even if you're wearing this at night and don't want to feel so exposed. First, make sure you try the outfit on at home and ensure that no matter how you stand, sit etc that you are not bordering on wardrobe malfunctions and that you have the appropriate support to keep all your items permanently affixed (Hollywood Tape is your friend). Mommie to be and all around "girl who is running the world", Beyonce rocked the launch of yet another season of her House of Dereon created by her and her mom, Tina Knowles.

I love that in principle, this look is super easy and comfortable and is flattering to so many body types bu it's perfection when it comes to running around. You can never go wrong with a cardi/jacket that is slightly oversized with a pair of leggings and of course, I love the fact that it's all about glitz. Keeping that monotone look is fab when it comes to rocking some fun accessories. Mixed Media is on trend this season (as it has been for the past few). This is when you rock a number of metals together which creates an edgy look that has more depth. Beyonce is rocking a chain linked necklace that embodies gold and silver and although it does sit high on her neck, I love that there are irregular and longer pieces that eat up space where her skin is exposed - so she's not so bare and totally appropriate! With all the glitz she's rocking, I'm loving her bracelet that has a great gold tone and appears to be either stacked or a slimmer cuff.

If you're rocking a lower cute v-neck tee, low blazer etc you can add this same aesthetic by a number of fun necklaces just like Bey! Available on Bluefly, Rich in Friendship has a phenom friendship necklace that will lay nicely along the collar bone and create depth around your neck while being playful with the mix of metals. Coralia Leets has a fun dual pendant set that uses fun precious stones that have a pop of gold around them. You can even layer fun charms on top of this of various lengths to create additional depth! Finally Lara Bohinc, although it's in one tone" is perfect for the girl that loves to embrace her symmetry but still have amazing pop factor without playing with how the necklace lays. I love the knot and how this is definitely a conversation piece! Finally, Gorjana has a bar bracelet in a gold tone (much like what Beyonce is wearing) that can be worn alone or you can obtain a few of these and stack them for an effortless look!

Whether you're rocking the runway, aisles at work or your well traveled sidewalk - this look can be owned by you totally and worn with a number of key looks as we transition into fall!

Mingling Mondays ~ LBD x Classic Edgy

In the 1920's, when Coco Chanel unveiled the Little Black Dress, it was yet another item that we would continue to add to our lists that would become apart of our fashion staples. Coco knew about LBDs and their staying power. It's something we gravitate towards many cocktail to black tie functions and one that never goes out of style. At the same time, it's easy to get stuck in a rut. When you're hitting your next function, think about how your dress can get an update. Whether you have a series of LBD's that you cycle through or you're purchasing a new one, there is no rule that states that it must be accessorized a certain way. I just recently fell in love with the house of Vionnet which has amazing styles that take a classic and bring another aspect to it - in essence the looks are reimagined which breathes a new life into each piece.

In many cases, I am a fan of securing the dress, wearing sterling silver pieces that also have black in them whether it's onyx, hematite or black sapphire and then it's all about the shoes or the clutch. It's these two areas where I bring in my personality and the unexpected. Many find it daunting when they opt for shoes outside of black and gravitate towards red, gold, silver, a skin or an animal print. Although these are great choices - what about a completely unexpected color and throwing in a bit of texture to boot! I'm loving the blush color as we all know that black and blush are fashions new "sushi and sake" pairings of style; however, how cute is it that as opposed to a rounded toe or peep toe - that we have a ruffled bootie by Cesare Paciotti? Whether you wear this with a simple sheath or even a dress that has ruching, gathering, a cowl effect etc - this is the perfect way to play with fun proportions!

Mingling Mondays ~ Your Award Season

We all know that we're in the midst of award season and we love seeing what our fave celebs are wearing and doing in terms of their beauty routines. But the fact of the matter is that throughout our lives, we all have award winning moments where we need to look our best and many times we're at a loss of what it means in terms of glamming it up. When in doubt, we go to our classic standbys in terms of "let me grab yet another LBD from the closet or get a new one". It has been thought that the classic LBD is either a long sleeve dress, a classic sheath or something strappy. This becomes a "uniform" of sorts and if you're always going to events, the idea of putting a little oomph into this look may put you at a loss. Everything old is new again and I'm loving David Meister's One Shoulder Jewel Cuff Dress.

First off, anytime you have a bit of unsuspecting skin peeking out, your bound to add an extra amount of exotic love to your outfit. But I love that the way the fabric drapes across your chest, you don't have to wonder about what necklace works best. This dress works for a number of body types and is amazing on days that you may feel that you would rather wear something a little more forgiving. Built into this dress, you'll love the cuff detail. In the great debate of whether you should mix gold and silver together, this is one of those situations where one shouldn't worry about this. Mixing elements is one of the best things that one can do! To incorporate this, here are items that can be worn together to complete this look or to be included with items that you already own. I love the fact that you can pop these chandelier earrings in by Miguel Ases which has oxidized silver as well as gold and black stones. I'm loving Joan and David's Flipp Platform pumps which add a bit of hollywood glamour to this or any other look! It's nice to see this mixed media and to rock it with this Alexander McQueen clutch - it's even more star studded. Fab ways to ensure that you're red carpet look is phenomenal from start to finish!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ Casual Glam

I have to be comfortable! There is too much running around for me to have to fuss with my clothes! The weather is also way too hot to wear a bunch of items. So I like to go simple and then glam it up! Hats are my new obsession without question! As you saw from yesterday's post, Eugenia Kim is having a sample sale and I just got my first hat from this line last week and am in love - pics to follow. On days where your hair isn't working the way you want it or it must come up, rock it in a hat and it looks much better. I love this romper as it is casual but also has significant style. Pair this up with natural stones and you're set! Yes I mix gold and silver without any restraint and you can too - it's a signature who says your metals have to match? Take some time to check out these pieces and being that I am originally from Indiana and used to find Geodes all over my campus at Indiana University, I'm glad that I came across this ring!

Mingling Mondays ~ Working Cozy

Did anyone catch the freezing temps this weekend? Ok maybe it wasn't freezing but there was a little snow. When I'm not out about going to meetings for clients or working on my projects, I love to head to the nearest Starbucks to get some work done! When I'm in that mode, I still believe in looking fab but keeping it casual! I love wearing something super cozy - a nice long sleeve top and a little hood makes me feel like I'm back home no matter where I may be working at the time! I think in some ways it reminds me of college days when I was studying for midterms/finals.

Unlike back home, I love making sure that I'm still able to run out and about! Pair this with a cute pair of leggings and jeans and yes I do like to pair them with Uggs! Now I know many have very strong feelings about Uggs; however, when it's chilly and there is snow on the ground, this shoe is really the best one to have. In addition, it's always the way in which you wear something. Wearing Uggs is not an excuse to dress way down and as long as this is kept in mind, I think this pair of shoes is necessary (however I don't get the trend in wearing them when it's blazing hot outside - can't justify that one to me). To round out the look, wearing a large cocktail ring and an interesting necklace shows that you're still stylish even when you're serious about getting your work done!

I'm a fan of grey and sterling silver, together it creates a great casual look that will work well throughout the day and unexpected drinks with the girls! As always the links are clickable!
