The 9th episode of last week's Project Runway took place at the 5th Avenue Lord and Taylor department store with the inspiration coming from the retailer's signature, "American Beauty Rose", as well as the customer in mind as well and finally finishing the look with selections from L&T's Accessory Wall. The winner, Michelle Franklin, had their piece produced and is sold exclusively at the store's select locations, their website and included within the windows of the 5th Avenue location. Michelle's chartreuse satin colorblock shift dress with chiffon and microsuede trim is the perfect item to include within your spring wardrobes without a doubt.
As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of Lord and Taylor as I love purchasing my outerwear as well as shoes from the 5th Avenue location. I can always find what I'm looking for without having to worry about not finding a sales team to assist me! Above you can see how this dress began in sketch form and how it is available for purchase and how it is styled. Of course, you know when it comes to accessories, I always have a few twists and I love playing with yellow as it's a great neutral to build on top of!
ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK
Here's how I would style this look for myself or for a few of my clients who love playing with neutrals! All of these items are available at Lord and Taylor and are perfect to wear with a number of other looks that you'll wear throughout the Spring and Summer! Roll over the images above to find out more information about getting the above.
The last two days have been bridal filled as I have been covering items that you will see on Kitten Lounge next week. Whether you're adding to your office or simply looking to add to your nook, make sure that you have these items to keep everything in its place! I'm loving Native Union's Curve BT iDock which allows you to charge your phone while you chit chat on this fab phone in a number of colors. On days where I have a number of conference calls, this is the perfect way to tackle work. I love this chair which is patterned in chevron from Horchow. I'm always in the midst of projects whether it's random samples, snippets of paper or who knows what - this Cubby Organizer from Pottery Barn keeps order to possible chaos. Finally, an organized deck should always be chic like these crocodile accessories from Neiman Marcus. We love this as it gets us into a huge focus on Kitten Lounge, the Ultimate Digital Fashion Office! As we upgrade our loft, we're letting you in on how you can have the perfect office to take in your samples, do photoshoots and more!
Steven Cojocaru also known as Cojo storm TJ Maxx in order to find out some of the most amazing finds that can be seen at your local store! Not only is it fun to hear us gabbing but there are some amazing finds that you'll definitely want to find out when thinking about stocking your summer wardrobe! If you missed our last video, check out our Summer Trends!
You know that I am a huge fan of Tory Burch. I love her sense of style and ever since I hosted a shopping event there, I really enjoy seeing Tory's world through her eyes via, Things I Like. Tory was given a voice recorder by filmmaker Van Neistat to talk about what she loved while she was in Europe (who wouldn't want her thoughts on tape) and then he set out to Asia to find the things that she liked there. After watching this click the link to hear more thoughts from both of these fab creatives that just mixed culture and fashion together to take things to another level. I love finding about inspirations and what makes people tick. This is such a cute video and lets you in on what it's like to hear her creative process when it comes to life in general. Seeing it through her eyes allows us to think about how we see our world and how what we enjoy here can be found elsewhere as well.
Sometimes keeping it simple is nice! It's felt like a long week and I've been hitting a lot of events. As much as I love my traditional tee, jeans and heels - I love my graphic tee and jeans as well! So today, I kept it casual with a simple necklace (the knot necklace can be casual or definitely dress up your look), cocktail ring (if you're going to do it - it's got to be big and I love the grren Amethyst), a cuff and my tee. I'm a huge fan of Sailor Jerry. I love the inspiration behind the line and when this Philly based - family owned company was in Vegas during the shows for Magic, they threw an awesome party! With 10 years under their belt, they headed to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and had amazing performers! I have to say that they were one of my two favorite parties that week (the other one being the Hudson Jeans party). To understand how amazing the brand is, check out their site, try their rum as it's really good and head to the store! From time to time they have live bands that play within their store and the environment has such positive energy! I have yet to go but have plans this fall and hope they keep me in the loop on future events! For now, this tired chica has some trailblazing to do and can't wait until it's the weekend!

I love visiting boutiques that really know how to showcase items. Many times when I shop, I know what I want and without a need for a dramatic display - I go in and get what I want. But there are times that you are out and about and you know that there is something of interest that you could get and it's simply a matter of what tickles your fancy at the moment. Right now, I am looking for sunglasses that have a lot of pop to them and yet I am completely open to what I could purchase. Hearing about Ilori, a store made for those that want to be in the lap of luxury when it comes to sunglasses, I had to share!
Ilori loves to bring your favorite brands, first editions, exclusives and more together. I know when I am ready to get a pair of Oliver People's there are a number of Ilori boutiques available for me to stop in at. In addition, on the occassions when you want something new but are open to the possibilities, you can enjoy relaxing in a chair or peruse the wall of all the styles that they are carrying. Check out the images of the boutique and learn more by visiting the site.
I am so excited to share with you guys the Village and it also has a site that's online where you can order their yummie peanut butter. The Peanut Butter Co is known for their sandwiches that have a variety of flavors within their spreads. Peanut Butter is not only something enjoyed by children but by adults alike! Enjoy such sandwiches as the Fluffernutter, Peanut Butter Cup (this has Nutella and their freshly
ground peanut butter), Peanut Butter Club (including
two layers of peanut butter and two layers of jelly between three layers of bread) and more. If you're not interested in having one of their amazing peanut butter sandwiches, you will be able to enjoy salads and much more.
As stated before, there is also a site where you can enjoy a variety of flavors. Recently, I purchased Dark Chocolate Dreams which is a mix of peanut butter and dark chocolate! I was so excited to get this as I wanted to taste this. I have enjoyed this on mini pita breads as a great snack! There is also a peanut butter called Bees Knees which has honey in it. They are definitely creative and at least you can enjoy this nutritious food by ordering online if you're not in the city. With so many options, you're bound to find something tasty.

Growing up, many of us were all about the Pop Up Books. There's something about turning a page and then realizing that something is much closer than what it would be in a traditional book. As we grew up, we got over the Pop Up Books but the idea still lives on - after all a Pop Up's beauty is that it lets you grasp something that you normally wouldn't be able to and as quick as it seems to come, it's gone again. Case in point is Ananas' Pop Up Store for her handbags which will be on the LES! This handbag designer is making sure that everyone has the opportunity to experience her pieces but for a limited time beginning June 24th - July 15th. Not only will you get the experience but you get first dibs on handbags, scarves, jewelry, etc that won't hit stores until Aug! In addition with your purchases, you will have the opportunity to receive a special tote that bares the logo included within this post. This is a great way to go from enjoying her collection online to being able to come to the store. But like any other Pop Up Book experience, when that last page is read, it will definitely be over. Get ready now by visiting her site and as she turns the page on this event, you can see her shop for yourself!
Ananas Pop Up Store
52 Canal St (Btwn Ludlow/Orchard)

Laura Geller is one of my favorite beauty brands. I remember just a few months ago when I began revitalizing my beauty collection, I saw this collection in Sephora. I loved the eyeshadow (I ended up getting Moonstruck) which had hues of blue, black, olive, silver etc. Then I came across the bronzers. I got the Blush-N-Brighten in Berry. I absolutely love it and I love the shimmer that it leaves behind. But sometimes I wonder if I should have purchased more. Laura Geller solves this problem maximizing your beauty and keeping it economical in the same sense. The Baked Basics, contains three hues in Blush-N-Brighten Berry, Bronze-N-Brighten and Balance-N-Brighten. In addition, there is also a brush that comes with this kit. This set is $48 and is absolutely an essential to make sure that you look amazing as if the sun goddess herself came down to make sure you were ready to go out and about. Take some time to visit a Sephora or to go online to see the entire collection and what elements you're missing from your cases and bags!
No matter the season or the style of your apartment/home, having blue in your home is definitely therapeutic and should be used even if it is only a pop of color! These glass vases which are perfect to fill with liquid, flowers, marbles, etc are available in a variety of sizes at Pottery Barn and yes they can be monogrammed as well. This is such a great housewarming gift, graduation or something for you to get yourself whether you line them up in various heights, place it in your kitchen or within your bedroom. You can make your own seascape in whatever way best fits your mood or style. Of course, this will ensure that you'll either visit the store, catalog or site in order to find other items that would work as well! I love summer and a great idea!
