Sippin Saturdays: Up Next - Bebe's It Girl
Mar21I love sharing interesting tidbits with you guys! Whether it's an event that I attended, a new find or simply something that you may be interested in doing - it's always fun to keep you in the know. Today's goodie comes from our new friends from Bebe. It Girl is a contest that is sponsored by Bebe, ELLE Magazine, Elite Model Management and Look Model Management. Together they're looking for your submissions to find the It Girl. From now through April 3rd, you can submit your photos and other info to Bebe's It Girl site. 600 semi-finalists will be chosen and will have the opportunity to do an in store photoshoot in NYC, Chicago, Miami, LA, Atlanta and San Francisco. Those who participate here will receive a 20% discount which will definitely help you with getting a wardrobe just in time for the best part of the Spring.
One finalist from each of the photoshoots will be chosen to go to LA (yes flight and hotel are covered). They will receive an outfit courtesy of Bebe, a $250 Amex Gift Certificate and a photoshoot from a photographer that's with Elite. This is a great way to build your book and of course to meet the other finalists that represent their cities as well.
Finally the winner will of course get an amazing gift: a photoshoot with Bebe, a 6 month modeling contract with Elite Model Management and Look Model Agency, $1,000 cash price, $1,000 wardrobe from Bebe and of course a chance to be featured in ELLE! This is defintiely an exciting opportunity and one where you simply have to enter in order to be considered! Treasure Tuesdays: Ilori Knows How to Showcase Sunglasses
Oct21I love visiting boutiques that really know how to showcase items. Many times when I shop, I know what I want and without a need for a dramatic display - I go in and get what I want. But there are times that you are out and about and you know that there is something of interest that you could get and it's simply a matter of what tickles your fancy at the moment. Right now, I am looking for sunglasses that have a lot of pop to them and yet I am completely open to what I could purchase. Hearing about Ilori, a store made for those that want to be in the lap of luxury when it comes to sunglasses, I had to share!
Ilori loves to bring your favorite brands, first editions, exclusives and more together. I know when I am ready to get a pair of Oliver People's there are a number of Ilori boutiques available for me to stop in at. In addition, on the occassions when you want something new but are open to the possibilities, you can enjoy relaxing in a chair or peruse the wall of all the styles that they are carrying. I am so excited to share with you guys the 
Village and it also has a site that's online where you can order their yummie peanut butter. The Peanut Butter Co is known for their sandwiches that have a variety of flavors within their spreads. Peanut Butter is not only something enjoyed by children but by adults alike! Enjoy such sandwiches as the Fluffernutter, Peanut Butter Cup (this has Nutella and their freshly
ground peanut butter), Peanut Butter Club (including
two layers of peanut butter and two layers of jelly between three layers of bread) and more. If you're not interested in having one of their amazing peanut butter sandwiches, you will be able to enjoy salads and much more.
As stated before, there is also a site where you can enjoy a variety of flavors. Recently, I purchased Dark Chocolate Dreams which is a mix of peanut butter and dark chocolate! I was so excited to get this as I wanted to taste this. I have enjoyed this on mini pita breads as a great snack! There is also a peanut butter called Bees Knees which has honey in it. They are definitely creative and at least you can enjoy this nutritious food by ordering online if you're not in the city. With so many options, you're bound to find something tasty.

Fashionable Fridays: Pop Ups Aren't Just For Books

Growing up, many of us were all about the Pop Up Books. There's something about turning a page and then realizing that something is much closer than what it would be in a traditional book. As we grew up, we got over the Pop Up Books but the idea still lives on - after all a Pop Up's beauty is that it lets you grasp something that you normally wouldn't be able to and as quick as it seems to come, it's gone again. Case in point is Ananas' Pop Up Store for her handbags which will be on the LES! This handbag designer is making sure that everyone has the opportunity to experience her pieces but for a limited time beginning June 24th - July 15th. Not only will you get the experience but you get first dibs on handbags, scarves, jewelry, etc that won't hit stores until Aug! No matter the season or the style of your apartment/home, having blue in your home is definitely therapeutic and should be used even if it is only a pop of color! This is such a great housewarming gift, graduation or something for you to get yourself whether you line them up in various heights, place it in your kitchen or within your bedroom. You can make your own seascape in whatever way best fits your mood or style. Of course, this will ensure that you'll either visit the store, catalog or site in order to find other items that would work as well! I love summer and a great idea!
