I love wearing simple pieces that wear well and have an interesting pop factor! This Peacock Racerback Tunic Top is super cute over jeans and leggings! I love that it is a cute white top that has the peacock feathers on it. This look is perfect when you think about warm summers and wanting to wear something amazing without have to do too much to it. Of course you can also put a cute chain or choker with this to complete the look. There are two other design elements that make this a great piece. The ruching on the neckline makes a bit of an elegance to this look so that it definitely looks casual but can also be slightly dresed up as well. In addition, I love the wide band at the bottom which allows you to play with the length of this as well. I love Forever 21 as I am guaranteed to always find something that looks amazing for a day but at the same time, I also know that I will always leave with much more than what I had intended to get. A few months ago, I was introduced to Spreegirl at an Editor's event and I have to say that since that time, I have been hooked on this super cute sleepwear brand. It has gone with me on a lot of trips with friends, meeting other designers and so much more. Spreegirl's philosophy is that you should be fashionable at all times and that it can be carried into bed time. I actually have a super cute gingham set that's a tank top and boy shorts much like the one the model is wearing in the picture. I love that you can travel anytime but there is something about the summer that makes it a lot more fun and feels like so much more of a necessity! As many of you know, I am all about style, entertainment and a great time as well. To this end, I want to introduce the component of travel. Throughout the next few weeks of the summer and going into Indian Summer/the fall, I will be taking you into places that are a car, plane or train ride away. We all have our favorite places to go to and sometimes with half day Fridays and extended weekends you want to go somewhere that you weren't aware of whether it is down the turnpike or in another state! FUNKY DIVA

- 1 1/2 oz Leblon cachaça
- 1/2 oz Aperol liqueur
- 1/2 oz Grand Marnier
- dash of simple syrup
- blood orange, cut into chunks
- Champagne

With these ingredients, you're ready to make the Funky Diva; however, you'll also need to do the following which is suggested by Cocktail Times.com as well: " Muddle blood orange and simple syrup. Shake with all the ingredients except Champagne. Pour into a tall glass and top with Champagne."

I was looking at Pottery Barn this morning and began thinking of my favorite thing when it comes to the concept of LAGOON - beach houses, summer shares or wherever you go when you get away from the city for a little R&R. Ok I have to admit, I get sucked into reality shows which is why I do try to avoid them but it gets to be too much and I either see it every time it airs OR I catch it on a marathon. Fashion Week is an exciting time that occurs all over the world. On Christmas Eve as many of us wondered whether we would get all that we wanted for Christmas, models hit the runway to show a variety of the looks that hit the catwalk. I am constantly in awe of what creativity comes from the hearts of designers and its fabulous to see it emerge on that thin strip with a variety of beauties rocking it out! I love the pop of color that is shown in the images and a hint of a princess/empress look which every girl wants to feel at some point or another. Growing up, I was sad when I had to take my favorite summer pieces and fold them away to make way for all that was winter. I felt ludy Rudy from the Cosby show when she really wants to wear this plaid dress, but the weather has turned and her mother refuses to let her wear it. I always liked that episode.
