It's all about your feet whether you're rocking peep toes, flats, flip flops and more. It's important to get them taken care of them within a salon and to also have your in home spa at the ready! I am a huge fan of the items above. I'm loving the entire line of AromaFloria which keeps your toes pampered but I had to highlight Feet's Sake which is perfect for soaking your tootsies after a long day! In addition, I love My Solemate which I am a huge fan of since it combines soap with the pumice so that it takes aways the old layers of skin that are not toe sexy! Finally, I'm all about Eucerin. Although this is not designated for your feet primarily, I do love how my feet feel after putting this lotion on. With spring going into summer, we'll all be slipping into footwear that's a bit more comfortable. Take some time to begin adding to your footwear care!
Trendy Thursdays ~ Blackberry Beauty
Beyond the Blackberry (yes many of you are reading my site via this fab phone) that keeps us connected and the fruit that we eat, there are other ways that blackberries are useful to us! Today, we dedicate one of our posts to the fragrant and visual components. As you're reading this, I'm about an hour into my flight as I head to the DR to begin designing my very first collaboration line with footwear! I'm beyond thrilled so as I always do before I head out on a trip, I ran to get a mani/pedi at the Polished Beauty Bar (details on that to follow soon)! Now usually, I have a fab color on my toes and I do something neutral on the nail. Yesterday I decided to rock dark nails as it's nice to change it up and I loved how it looked this summer when I did it! I love the berry colors which made me think of glosses, perfumes and lotion! How fun and so perfect for the season!
Trendy Thursdays ~ The Power of Sula
Normally when I talk about something especially beauty, I have used it for a period of 3 - 4 days as I want you to get the full experience from me about the product. There are many of you who love to try items without having extra info and then there are those (totally don't blame you) that need to get some feedback. No matter how pretty the package is you want to have an idea about it so that it doesn't get added to the collection of "it was a great idea in concept". So, the fact that I am posting about this fabulous lip balm that I have had for 24 hours to the second should speak VOLUMES! I will also say that I couldn't stop using this and got a lot of compliments on the scent while I was at an Editor's Preview of Louis Vuitton Fragrances - so that was pretty major!
Sula is an amazing product line that you can find in such stores as Anthropologie and also on their own site as well! Take a peek at the website and you will see products that beg to be played with in a variety of scents from lip balms to perfume and so much more. I love the easy and natural feel of the site and I have to say that that feeling is translated into the product. Now this is Sula's Certified Organic Shea Butter Balm in Bergamot.With a number of scents within this product line, I love that this is petroleum free and can smooth every portion of your body. Seriously, it's meant for any portion of your body that needs moisture from lips to toes and even unruly eyebrows! It's a butter and it comes in a tin which can fit in the smallest of clutches. The scent is not over powering but I have to say that if you are using the Bergamot, you get a scent like Earl Gray tea which is not only invigorating but very soothing as well as I am a huge tea drinker. You also get the smell of Pink Grapefruit which adds it's own punch to the mix. As soon as I put this on my lips I fell in love and I do believe it will replace my Rose Balm that I have been a fan of for the last 6 years! I love that the tins are like collectibles and that the product is made by hand in small batches! Regardless of which scent you choose, they are packed with the natural fruits in there! Take some time to check this out and you may find that you have moved your long time favorite balm or hand cream to another portion of your bag as well!
Mingling Mondays ~ Feeling Good
The Dog Days of Summer typically talk about those last super hot days in August but I do think that this year we will get our fair share of super hot days if the last few are any indication. I'm not complaining but it means we have to stay hydrated and we need to dress as cool as possible. I have always been a fan of the Liberty Prints as they do have a really aged look to them and they point to another time. But they are really easy to wear despite their simplicity. I love this dress because it's very casual but by the time you pair it with a fab pair of sunglasses, simple shoes so that your toes can breathe and a ring, you're ready for brunch, Editor's meetings, castings, etc. Keep it simple and make it look fabulous! If you're in a city that has a weather advisory (NYC would be one of those), make sure you take extra time getting around and have some water with you. I'd also carry some towelettes and spritzer with you so that you can refresh yourself as you're running around!
Mingling Mondays ~ NYC Get Your Pedicure
When I get my weekly mani's and my bi-weekly pedi's, there is only one place that I run to (I simply refuse to go anywhere else)! Dashing Diva has multiple locations all over New York City and they are definitely my sanctuary when I need a little time out! I love their pink colors, plenty of colors, fun events and so much more. I do enjoy going on Fri's to get my pedicure and manicures with a nice cosmo (I was also a huge fan of their wine pedicure as well) Recently, Kitten Lounge attended Dashing Diva's event which had the cast of Legally Blond the Musical in attendance doing a Bend and Snap competition. The pictures included below are courtesy of Sarah Conley which you can see more of her coverage on Style It! This location which was off of Union Square is my favorite one to go to! It was really cute to see the cast members together and to see the winners of the Bend and Snap competition!
Dashing Diva definitely loves the Kitten Lounge and its readers and is providing 3 Elle of a Pedicures (fit for Ms Elle Woods herself) which we will be giving away on this site on Fri the Fourth of July at noon! Getting a complimentary pedicure at the 3rd Avenue location (149 3rd Ave btwn 15th/16th) is definitely an amazing treat and a great way to enjoy the summer as well. To be one of the three winners, simply tell me your favorite pedicure shade (regardless of brand) as many of us go a little daring on our toes when it's the summer!
