Oh boy it's getting a bit hectic in a little over a week I will be heading West baby to Vegas with the rest of the Kitten Lounge team to check out all the fashion trade shows, nightlife, restuarants, spas etc and to cover it on Kitten Lounge! The team is excited and I love meeting new people and those that I never see accept via my social networks. The next few days are going to be hectic (taping my episode for a reality show, going to Vegas, turning 30 at the Loews in SoBe and of course Fashion Week - did I mention my new jewelry line is being worked on as well - woo take a breath) and I'm a big planner of outfits. I even get focused on my travel outfit as I want to be comfortable but in many cases, I hit my city of destination without stopping to change! So my new graphic love is Paul Frank (Karmaloop has a fab collection if you don't have a store in your area)! I love the comical characters you have to check out his site to learn their names but they're comfy, sexy (and if you buy the guy version that would be hot) and so appropriate to travel in! His pieces also have a surprise - love the detail of the back from the cinched area on top to the kisses at the bottom and for those that don't know, the monkey's name is Julius! The giraffe, Clancy is the cutest thing ever and how could you not have that to carry your mags and anything else for a flight from NYC to Vegas? I'm a new fan (about a year or so) of Hudson Jeans (get them at ShopBop as they have quite a collection) - they always fit right and you know I'm a Havaianas girl! I have these flipflops in black as I'm a little Brazilian so I love seeing the flag (I'm wearing them as I type them now) but I would love the green version to pair with this top. Of course, I'm al labout Ted Rossi and I have this python cuff it makes any casual outfit dressy! I can guarantee you that this is pretty much how you will see me as I love comfort and a bit of pop! You'll see a lot of spreads that are within the "beach theme" from now until early September (bday is Sept 12th). This is mainly due to the fact that I will be celebrating my 30th birthday in South Beach - complete with cabana, some fun rooms for my guests at the Loews Hotel and more. Yes I will be missing a few days of South Beach but I couldn't think of a better place to enjoy sun and to get out of the city for awhile. Of course, this made me think of having the perfect outfit for my big night but also earlier in the day as I will be in my bathing suit. Coverups are always essential; however, in SoBe, I think it's an essential, Ceola has an amazing piece that is perfect to wear with heels and to catch the eye of everyone out to get some sun! Of course, under it you should definitely consider a bikini by Cia.Maritima. I love her suits with the pop of color and the great cuts. On my arm, this super cute bag from Tory Burch is a must. I have a beaded bag from here that I adore but I love the elephants on this bag! Finally, I love the Vianca by Oliver People's that brings out your inner star. The summer is the best! You know that one of my favorite shows during Fashion Week was the Michael Kors show! I loved sitting 3rd row seeing a crisp show with vibrant colors and if you have read previous posts you know that I am definitely a huge fan of his classic American style. With the cold temperatures that have hit New York, I am already planning my super vacation in March! These pieces from his collection are amazing items from their cut to their color! My favorite look is the tunic which is perfect to pair with swimwear or even a pair of jeans or linen pants. There are certain times during the year that I absolutely love to be in the midst of shopping mania! One of them is when Lucky Magazine holds its Lucky Shops event! I love going and checking out a variety of items that are greatly reduced while enjoying some cocktails. Each fall that I have attended, the deals have been better and I have walked away with some great finds and awesome goodies to go with it (I am still giddy about my Tory Burch bag and the most amazing CK seamless panties - TMI I know but I love them so it's ok). This year, Lucky Shops will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion on November 7th and 8th. This year the denim bar is back thanks to Lycra and of course Singer will be there for complimentary hemming. It's nice to know that so many people are doing their part to ensure that we help save the Earth. With so many options, it's nice to see how creativity is being used within these areas. Today, I found out about Gypsy Style which creates bags that are made out of 100% plastic and they come in a variety of styles for an overnight or weekend trip, to carry your cosmetics and of course to carry your Yoga Mat! I think that this is a such a cute idea and love the pockets and the vibrant colors as well. I think that with so many people turning to this form of material, it's nice to know that you can support the Earth, positive health and of course your need to be eternally fashionable. Trendy Thursdays: Do You Have Love For Philly?

Ok I have to admit, I get sucked into reality shows which is why I do try to avoid them but it gets to be too much and I either see it every time it airs OR I catch it on a marathon. Case in point, the title of this post comes from one of those shows. TV aside, Maptote makes the cutest tote and hobo bags that let you rep your city! Today I want to give love to the city of Brotherly Love. I love that not only does it map the city but it has images that we all think of when we think of this super cute city. We're gearing up for another election and everyone is buzzing about who they will vote for and why. I love that Freddy & Ma wants to encourage us to be politically aware in whatever way we choose. They have created cute totes at $20 a piece for those that are Democratic, Republican and Independent. If you're really into your Democrat decision, you can sport a 'Hillary' or 'Obama' tote.
