Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Spring Brunches

I always tell people that brunch is the most important meal of the week! It's a great way to touchbase with friends and to chat about what's going on and what you plan to do together. As we continue to transition into spring weather we can wear less outerwear and get back into wearing heels and cycling through a number of fun accessories! Roll over the above images to see how this fun look with a focus on yellow is the perfect look for wherever you're heading off to this weekend. I love Tory Burch, J Brand, Roberto Cavalli, Kimberly McDonald, Rachel Zoe, Will Leather Goods and Alexandra Tempestato.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Transitioning Into Spring

This week, we were so fortunate to have beyond amazing weather! I was able to rock flips flops, a maxi dress and a tank top! But the Spring is a mix of amazing weather, a bit of winter attempting to hang on and then that rainy period as well. You'll find yourself rotating through a number of looks that are weather specific. Today, it's a bit overcast and it's Friday! So with that in mind, this is a day of errands, wrapping up the week and more - I want to be comfy! Roll over the above images to see what I'm obsessed with at the moment. As you know, I'm a huge fan of grey and I love a great oversized top to keep me cozy and this one by Poison Ivy and available at Alloy is so great for a day like today. Keep it simple by pairing it with skinny jeans by Current/Elliott. In addition, accessorize the look with pops of coral and fab neutral hues via Coach, Dannijo, Clare Vivier, C Wonder, and Me&Ro.

Mingling Mondays ~ Crisp Accessorizing

With new year wishes still being uttered we're hitting the half way mark of this month. If your week is anything like mine, you're going to be super busy and you don't know where it's taking you. So in my case, I leave my house prepared for those requests to grad drinks, a quick bite and more. I love the idea of taking a clean and simple look such as this white oxford tunic from Cold Water Creek - the embroidery is a nice touch but I am loving the leggings which are a mix of jersey and leather by Rick Owens. Dannijo's tiered Swarovski choker. Slip on Alexis Bittar's Emerald encrusted gunmetal ring which is so fabulous. Of course you can bring in a bit of the rocker chic by having Linea Pelle's wrapped bracelet which creates great layers. Slip on these fab caged heels by Christian Louboutin and to continue the fab pop of green - why not rock Ghibli python satchel.

Mingling Mondays ~ NYFW Style

This time next week I will be tackling 2 shows on Mon and one show on Tues on HSN. I love heading down to Tampa and seeing the people who work behind the scenes to make the shows happen while also hanging out with the show hosts. As excited as I am about this, I'm also thinking about the fact that I am that much closer to New York Fashion Week. Each day more invites come in for shows, parties and more - which means that there are more outfits that I need to co-ordinate for my looks. With that said, I have a few cocktail events that I am focusing on as well as creating and am OBSESSING over Emerson Thorpe who has super cute tunic style dresses and tops that are perfect for tackling fashion's key event in NYC. Since it's always about my accessories, I'm loving ElaineTurner's calf hair clutch - I adore large envelope clutches. I also love the hair calf trend which is fab for texture and that pop to truly make your piece stand out as a conversation element. Pair this with LeVian's Strawberry Gold Diamond Ring for the unexpected and a fab pair of neutral YSL's ultra high double platform pumps - your set!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Fashion Week Looks To Rock

Since this weekend, I have been rocking cocktail dresses and heels. But every now and then when I know I have days of glamming it up, I do believe it is ok to wear leggings to some events and to look super chic. Especially when you're popping in and out of them! Today I show you a Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week (or for those of us pulling double duty and heading out to Social Media Week events as well) approved look as we are heading into an amazing series of days that will kick off on Thursday through next Thursday! I'm loving the one shoulder sparkly top by Vivienne Westwood who knows about Hollywood glam and modernizing it for today. Simply pair this over your trusty leggings, thrown on peep toe patent pumps by Jimmy Choo and then a fun cuff. I'm loving Kore Large Horn Concave Cuff as in the midst of fashion, we like to keep it natural! Tomorrow, check out what you're mister should be wearing when he hits the shows!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Style Staples

Words can't express how giddy I am about transitioning into Feb! We've made it through the first month of the new year and wouldn't you know that the shortest month would end up being the most significant month? It's at this time that I begin thinking that although we have been hit with countless snowstorms here in the east coast, that we must get out of our fashion rut, brave the weather and look super cute! If we can make it through Feb, the worst weather (in terms of the chill) will be behind us! With that said, we need to consider that from head to toe, we must look super cute and although many think that it is easier said than done, let's think about staple components. When worn together, you're the diva on your runways but they can be worn separately to add a little za za zoo to the overall look that you're rocking. So what are my key components to my 2011 spring look that will also be amazing for later seasons as well?

The above look was inspired with travel in mind. As many of you know, there is Fashion Week in Feb, I will be on HSN and I will be appearing at a trade show unveiling my collaboration line with Sebago - so I will be running everywhere from around the city to hopping flights. I am not a believer in looking shabby and yet, I must look comfy. I'm obsessing over the above. Many of you know that I fell in love and enjoy wearing my Coach's Poppy Moto jacket and although it was from Fall 2010, this is a great investment piece to have in your wardrobe. Keeping it simple, I paired it with a long tank that is easy to wear and looks fab over skinny jeans (which I ADORE Joe's Jeans) and of course in this weather for added warmth, why not have on a pair of over the knee boots. If you're traveling to a warm climate, it's easy to swap them for some Havaianas when you hit the next city. Of course you can rock a scarf with this (linen please) and top it off with a hat (LOVING Eugenia Kim as always) and take it back to natural basics with this fab crystal ring from Low Luv x Erin Wasson - this will be my goal to get this as it will look amazing after every wear! There are many ways to create these amazing looks together and apart but who doesn't love a good place to start?

Snazzy Sundays ~ Rock It

I live for super cute leggings and jeans - I literally wear them all the time. In the winter I'm all about wearing black and grey and mixing it in with hues of brown! With that said, I am officially obsessed with Report's Fairfax Over the Knee Boot which looks absolutely phenom (they are super comfy to wear and if you're like me and live for wearing simple looks, they definitely enhance the overall look in an instant - they are officially apart of my wardrobe)! I'm also a fan of the sweatshirt but like many of the items we may have loved wearing back in our collegiate days, why not update it tunic style and get something from James Perse? Finally, it's all about the fab leathers and we're loving this Jimmy Choo Babeth Tote which is two tones and works well with the boots as well as the Vintage Long Leather Coat from Free People! Together this is all about having a super comfortable look that is perfect for the weekends as well as any time that we are doing errands or having meetings that aren't exactly taking place in the board room! This is also the perfect way to travel as well as you begin to jetset for the spring.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Warm Work Days

I love days where we can get a lot of work done and be cozy while doing it. Maybe you need to run around the corner to get something from the store or to meet up with friends for coffee. Who doesn't want a super cute tote that you can put in a few items (cards to hang out, a book to return and more) as you run your errands. I love that you have a cute sweatshirt tunic that can be paired with leggings when being outside and just worn around the house with nothing underneath as you update your calendars. In addition, rock your Converse sneakers as we head that much more into the holiday season. There are a number of ways to look cute when you're lounging and working on items.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Cozy Up

Can you believe how quick this week has flown? There are tons of great looks that you can rock when we continue to go into the cold weather. You know my staple look is to wear a cute tunic as well as a great pair of leggings. To stay warm, I think that it's also essential to have a cozy cardigan to get you through the long days ahead. Now to feel that you have a pop of color out and about on your arm as you begin to look at all the holiday windows, get a cute bag that has a rich hue! What do you wear when it's time to go out and stay cozy with a cup of coffee in your hands!

Sippin Saturdays ~ Brooklyn Parties

Today is all about Brooklyn! I have a fab party at one of my besties houses and then I am heading with other besties to go to a party that I hear is going to be a lot of fun! Either way, today is all about keeping it simple and rocking it out with accessories! Although I won't be wearing this exact look today, I will be in a tunic, leggings, fab jewelry and a pair of thigh highs - you know keeping it casual! This weekend has been amazing as I finalize my transition, enjoy my fab friends of course - get ready to have a rocking March - hugs and kisses everyone!

Fashionable Fridays ~ Thank You Tory Burch!

There are two major thank you's that must be said! First off, thank you Tory Burch Team for allowing the Kitten Lounge to host the shopping event at your store! The drinks kept flowing, the staff was super sweet and helpful and those that attended had nothing but positive feedback! Also thanks to Guest of a Guest for sending their readers over as well! I loved that I was able to see so many items that I'm still debating on what I'll be wearing as we head into spring! The second and equally important thanks goes to those that braved the cold, snow and whatever random weather we had going on to support the event! I hope that we can go back during a warmer season so that more can come but there were people very happy with their purchases and I loved meeting you guys and seeing you in person!

Above is the green tunic that I am salivating over which also comes in navy! I am someone who is sitll embracing the fact that color should be worn so definitely expect to see me in this. I also got to see the wrapped heel which is officially my new obsession and I had to pop in other items that I think you guys should be thinking about! Although the weather was not the best, the Elizabeth St location in NoLita made me feel like I was in South Beach and everything was perfect!!! Our next event will be in April when we host a huge Wellness Event at Exhale Spa which we would love for you to RSVP to!

Mingling Mondays ~ Tunics are Sexy

Each season I think about the fact that I can never have too many tunics! I live in them! They're perfect for the cabana but it doesn't mean that you can't take it with you to brunch, dinner and much more. I love the fact that you can pair them with a cute pair of heels, a little clutch, a fun bracelet and a pair of fab skinny jeans! Calypso is one of my favorite places to go when you want a tuinic. I love the embroidery and when you place it with the jeans, it looks effortless! Finally, it's always about the accessories. This cluster bracelet has a nice pop of color so that you don't feel that you're completely in tan and it picks up a bit of the fab Tory Burch (if you haven't RSVP'd then make sure you do for our fun shopping event at their NoLita store) clutch which is perfect. To top it all off, the heels are absolutely fab and love that they're beaded!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ NYE Coverage: For My Beach Bunnies

When it get's chilly, I think of South Beach more and more. For those that will spend NYE there or in any island nation, good for you! There is nothing better than laying out on the beach and just soaking up the sun! I would totally do it if I could but I will be in NYC! Although there is good news that I will get a chance to get out there in my bikini soon enough but more news on that! Until then this is such a crisp look to ring in the new year if you have the opportunity to do so! A cute bikini needs to be paired with a fab cover up and a pair of espadrilles. The beach bag has to bring it all together!

Mingling Mondays ~ Power Suit Reinvented

I was a huge fan of Dynasty, Falcon Crest and Hotel because it was the 80's and when the women in these shows meant business, they had the power suits with the fab shoulder pads. Thankfully, the idea of the power suit has changed as professions aren't the same - our look doesn't need to be one that is a two piece. One of my favorite looks is this long sleeve tunic dress which is a must for the fall/winter season. Paired with a super cute pair of boots all you need to do is find some fun accessories. Here lately, green has been a color that I have been including within a lot of my outfits. I've been obsessed with Siman Tu ever since I happened to walk by a shop on the Upper East Side that carried some pieces. This bib necklace has always been a classic but has been on trend over the last few season and I expect it to continue. This look can be completed with this gorgeous Amethyst and Agate ring! The large cocktail ring is a must and if you want to really bring this outfit to another level, I would pair this with a belt whether it's a wide one or a thin one that you can wear at an angle.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Eva Enters

As much as I love adding pops of color, every now and then I love the classic "black accessories". They're a great go to piece when you're not sure of what works or when you just want to go back to basics! With that being said, this Eva Varro floral top is perfect for this in between season as it's not only a great pop of hot pink, but it's a great item to wear over leggings. You can wear this to an after work event, running errands or anything where it's not necessary to seriously dress up. If you're in the city tonight and are a stylist, blogger or someone within fashion media, I would love for you to come to a Mixer that we're having at Coterie, a fashion trade show here in NYC at the Javits Center. It runs from 6 - 7pm and not only can you network and mingle but there will be cocktails and a chance to see the line and the showroom owner, Janine Weil, who works this line within her showroom - Janine Weil Ltd! We'll be at booth 5965 tonight so let me know if you will attend as we have limited space!

Wearable Wednesdays: Getting Resort Ready

If my trip did anything, it would be putting me in the right frame of mind for future trips to warm locales! Yes NY is decent in terms of temperatures but I wish it felt the way it did in SoBe. With that said, I'm going through a major renovation in my closet. I am going to embrace color (I have always preferred gray and black - but why should I be so limited and different bodies. I have recently become a fan of yellow and love green as well. Now every now and then I still love black so why not something like this? I love Roberto Cavalli's kimono/tunic style and paired over white pants, it comes off as crisp. Black shoes take on a whole new twist with these DSquared2 platforms. I love the angle of the heel and how it is an accessory in its own right! As always, I'm a fan of Ted Rossi - the eel clutch, super cute! Finally, Dannijo Harley is new to me but this silver plated cuff is perfect to add a bit of edge to this whimsical meets dancing queen look! Once again, click on the descriptions above if you're interested in getting any of these pieces!

Wearable Wednesdays: You Know I Love Michael Kors For Spring

You know that one of my favorite shows during Fashion Week was the Michael Kors show! I loved sitting 3rd row seeing a crisp show with vibrant colors and if you have read previous posts you know that I am definitely a huge fan of his classic American style. With the cold temperatures that have hit New York, I am already planning my super vacation in March! These pieces from his collection are amazing items from their cut to their color! My favorite look is the tunic which is perfect to pair with swimwear or even a pair of jeans or linen pants. It definitely works within a number of looks! he second favorite look are the dresses which are perfect for cocktail parties, the Hamptons or anywhere where you can have a perfect evening with the beach at your doorstep! Take some time to check out his fab looks and you can't forget to check out the tote!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ Proud as a Peacock

For21 I love wearing simple pieces that wear well and have an interesting pop factor! This Peacock Racerback Tunic Top is super cute over jeans and leggings! I love that it is a cute white top that has the peacock feathers on it. This look is perfect when you think about warm summers and wanting to wear something amazing without have to do too much to it. Of course you can also put a cute chain or choker with this to complete the look. There are two other design elements that make this a great piece. The ruching on the neckline makes a bit of an elegance to this look so that it definitely looks casual but can also be slightly dresed up as well. In addition, I love the wide band at the bottom which allows you to play with the length of this as well. I love Forever 21 as I am guaranteed to always find something that looks amazing for a day but at the same time, I also know that I will always leave with much more than what I had intended to get. Ah what's better than visiting the store and purchasing and then being able to do so online as well?

Sippin' Saturdays ~ Australian Fashion Week Presents Jayson Brunsdon

Jb1I love the backdrop of Australian Fashion Week! I think that it would be fun to see a show with the city in the background! How great would it be to be able to catch a show walking across a promenade even if you weren't really invited. I love that Jayson Brunsdon has created an elegant and fun line that is very simple but with pop elements of color and or interesting cuts. I love the tunic like look of this outfit which presents a  30's glam/mod look. I also love the orange hues and the abstract design as well. But this piece isn't completely overwhelming since the design is only shown in concentrated areas. This is a great piece to wear to a gala or an opening of great art at a friend's gallery. This definitely makes you look like a goddess wherever you decide to wear it! Take some time to see more looks from this talented designer on Coutorture  as they continue to present Fashion Week events around the globe.

Wearable Wednesday ~ From Casual Glam to Luxe

MktunicI am a fan of so many pieces from Michael Kors - you'll find me in his sunglasses, shoes, belts and tops as well. This is one of my favorite tops for this season! I love the bow detail that is very sweet and perfect to wear with pants, bangles and super large sunglasses with a nice 3" heel. I also love the geometric pattern of this A-line top that definitely has a bit of the 'Holly Golightly" Vibe. This top which is currently available on Nordstrom.com, can be purchased in a variety of colors. You can wear this at a night of drinks, a special function for work and of course you can look at taking this with you on a night out during your next outing! Take a moment to look at all things amazing by Michael Kors!
