Wrist Wednesdays ~ Arm Candyland

I'm so excited to share a new segment on Kitten Lounge as I'm always asked what bracelets I'm wearing and why! As an Accessories Expert, I have a number of bracelets I love to rock from cuffs, wraps and more. With Spring being around the corner, there's definitely a need to start boosting this part of your closet which allows you to dress up bikinis, maxi dresses and so much more. Wrap bracelets beg to be stacked and worn with a number of pieces whether you're displaying an array of colors, going monochromatic or sharing your colorblocked look.

This season many trends will be on display with a number of hues. I'm loving this silver vermeil and vibrant yellow bracelet from Sho London that has great braided detail as well as that charm effect. When it's about keeping it neutral, you have to consider Gorjana's triple sand colored wrap with ring hardware. Blee Inara has a braided bracelet that has a hanging charm which adds a bit of whimsy to the look with a bold turquoise which is always perfect for the spring/summer. Wrap bracelets come in various forms and I love the mixed media of this Venessa Arizaga which incorporates chain and threads. I love that although this piece is edgy, it has a classic look that works with a number of looks from boyfriend cardigans to simple tanks. When it comes to wrap bracelets, I love those that are thin but I also love the ones that have a bit of depth, Linea Pelle has a fan large wrap that can still mix well with other bracelets and has the look of multiple layers which is a great way to accessorize with the nailhead detailing.

Many of the above looks are boho chic and many times, you want to have heritage brands within the mix which are also including wrap bracelets within their collection. Links of London - they bring together roped braiding with sterling silver which definitely makes it a classic. Hermes has a buckled vintage bracelet that can be worn as easily with jeans as well as cocktail dresses. Finally, I'm loving the buckle detail of Balenciaga which is yet another great classic that you will find yourself gravitating towards.

Wearable Wednesdays: His Style ~ Homeward Bound

We love working in our remote offices during the holiday season! A chance to be out of the city for a bit as well as to gain a new perspective! His Style is about taking it preppy with fab accessories. We're huge fans of Rugby and although we're focusing on this striped cardi which is all about retro athletic style, we're loving everything else about this look too! As you head home, make sure to bring some other fab finds with this Saddle Weekender Bag from Ralph Lauren Purple Label as he'll want to cart his gifts. Pop on this super warm scarf from Bally which continues the stripes. We love fingerless gloves by Tyro with a great jersey stitch and finally, complete the look with Gucci aviator sunglasses which are always in style.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Take the Weekend

It's the weekend and whether you're enjoying amazing weather (as we are here in NYC) or just loving that you have an entire day ahead of you! A great way to take this day is to head to your nearest rooftop stat for your friend's brunch! Start it off with a fabulous red and white dress available at Free People which is vintage inspired! Pop on a pair of Falchi by Falchi Shoes (I love that there are red and coral strips within this shoe which add a little fun flair). I'm loving this hammered cocktail rin gavailable at Designs by Stephene. I also love adding in this gold plated cuff by Philippe Audibert which adds some pizzaz into the look. Finally, never show up empty handed this Bartenura Moscato is a great way to share with friends!

Mingling Mondays: SS 2012 Trends ~ Wendy Williams Rocking Animal Print

Animal Print is always in season. It's a great way to keep it seasonless no matter what the time of year it is. I also love that for the girl who questions rocking this look, pairing it with black is always a fab choice. Wendy Williams (who I have loved since back in my visual merchandising days when I would hear her radio show while working in various workshops in creating windows. Her "how you doing" kept me going day by day! I'm loving how she looked when she hit the step and repeat for The Hollywood Reporter's 35 Most Powerful People event - and yes she definitely is one! I'm loving her look and of course, I definitely have some ideas on how I would have added a little nuvo glam in there!
Rocking a motorcycle jacket with a chic dress is a fabulous look! Personally, I think that this jacket is a bit too edgy and would actually pair it with Ann Demeulemeester who does leather jacets with a feminine twist to it without losing the edge; moroever, not confusing this as a piece that you would wear if you were actually on a motorcycle. She could rock this look with a fabulous onyx cocktail ring by Ivanka Trump. Keeping it super classic is easy with this Chanel Vintage Coin Cuff which is a great look for any outfit your sporting. Finally, I'm loving her heels; however, I love a rounded peep toe and this pair by Casadei in python is phenomenal and would have taken this look to a whole other level!

Mingling Mondays ~ Classic Gets Updated

Yet another fab post that was inspired by this weekend's activities! I was doing some work when Elle's Accessory Editor tweeted out that Dial M For Murder was on TCM! I love a good Hitchcock film and to be honest, it's the perfect Halloween movie as I love a good thriller but not a scary movie that will stop me from sleeping. If you're not familiar with this movie, it includes Grace Kelly which is the epitome of style and wore so many pieces that were classic. So in putting this post together, I fell in love with this cloak which is a Ritz Saddler vintage piece that's so classic and retro - plus I love this color. We're in that season where you're going to be rocking a lot of outerwear without the opportunity of being able to take it off - so essentially, this becomes your outfit.

Since this cloak is so classic, I feel that accessories need to make some pop! I love rose gold, a pop of color and super chic python. Rose gold will look amazing with this hue as the cuff from Diana Warner is a great piece that has simplistic chic written all over it. I also love that this marcasite ring from Judith Jack is the perfect look for your finger to elongate them and of course to be the ultimate conversation piece. Mali Sabatasso brings in our pop of color with this fabulous agate pendant that has purple in it which is a phenom hue. If you're meeting the girls, add a clutch which is super classic and make it have a bit of a twist with this fab Christopher Kane plastic clutch in a varied purple hue. Finally, pull it all together with this fab pair of Christian Louboutin stone python ankle boots. I love the banded look and the fact that it picks up the hues of the cloak.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Chanel Decks Your Decor

You know our Sunday focus takes on an article of clothing that we are drooling over and inspires us to get the rest of our home to pay homage to this! Today we're all about vintage Chanel in this fabulous berry shade and I love the trumpet detail with the fab neck. In honor of that here are some ways to pop in this fab berry/persimmon color which works well for the holiday season as well as being the perfect winter choice in terms of hues!

I'm loving Pottery Barn as they have the berry wreath motif in time for the holiday season by using the wreath as well as having that (with optional monogramming) on their pillows. It's great for the home and the perfect gift as well. For the liing room, we can never have too much Horchow and I am loving this sofa which is stately but also perfectly Victorian. Light this Voluspa candle in a fab Japonica scent. When it comes to the kitchen, I'm loving Kitchen Aid's tea kettle. For those that are thinking of one of my fave items to eat - this Roma Electric Tomato Strainer is a nice addition to the kitchen when it's time to make your famed sauce which can be canned to make a fab gift for others when they come visit you!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Pony Hair Dreams

I'm such a fan of Pony Hair! It's been something that I have definitely embraced in my wardrobe since last fall but now I know that I need to have it in my current rotation! Above, I have a number of fab items that are the perfect way to bring this luxe texture into your wardrobe. Jimmy Choo has this fabulous wallet that's a brown and ivory print. When you're running errands, you have to do so with this fab large saddle bag from Henry Cuir which looks great with leggings and boots. Givenchy, has this fab pair of ankle shoes which are oh so very Anthropologie and beg to be worn with a number of outfits! You have to go vintage and no one does it better than Chanel with this super cute clutch. Christian Louboutin always makes an appearance when you are talking about items to add into your wardrobe! I love this black and white combo. DVF has a fab ruby patchwork clutch which of course is in the famed pony hair look! Fendi's platform boots are phenom and knee high as well. Menswear is always a nice touch within your look so I'm loving Dolce & Gabbana's croc and pony hair oxfords. Finally, I'm OBSESSED with House of Harlow's Orina clutch which has a nice weight to it, fits fab in your hand and of course is pony hair!

Mingling Mondays ~ Transitionally Obsessed

It's super hot here in NYC today! We have a temperature/humidity that's a combo of 90 degrees with a high index! As much as I'm all about keeping it as skimpy (and classy) as possible, I do begin thinking about my fall transitions! This can definitely be attributed to the fact that this month I am shooting and taping a video for a major Oct issue as well as beginning to think about what I will be wearing during NY Fashion Week this season as well! When it comes to transitioning, I start with my accessories. I am all about neutral palettes regardless of the seasons and am obsessed with tan! The first thing that's an essential is fabulous Christian Louboutin pumps, this fabulous fun bag from Furla which has a pop of collegiate all over it with a fab texture. Of course I have been enjoying not traveling and spending quality time with my boyfriend, planning the next few months and being able to re-connect with friends; however, I know that travel will be back in my future shortly so the scarf by Franco Ferrari is amazing with its vintage sensibilities!

Trendy Thursdays: His Style ~ Beauty Finds

He raids my beauty bounty and of course when new items come to my attention, he is always up to try out the newest thing! But I have to say that over the past few months, I've noticed that he loves the above the most! John Varvatos is his scent of choice as there is something about this strong vintage scent. He loves exfoliating after trying it out on my suggestion, Nude Deep Cleansing Mask keeps his face super soft while ensuring that he's not carrying around a lot of impurities. Recently, I obtained Molton Brown's Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod Bath and Shower which is a refreshing scent with a few woodsy notes in it. Perfect for men and women in my opinion and of course he agrees. Finally, I've been obsessed with Jack Black's line of lip balms and am a huge fan of Black Tea and Blackberry as well as Grapefruit and Ginger. Both scents are also on his list as well!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Kitten Lounge Asks About Couple Approved Beauty Sharing

I'm a Dove girl and he's Mitchum, he loves Lush and I enjoy Crabtree and Evelyn, I rock Coach Poppy and he sprays John Varvatos Vintage and he's all about Nude Mud Mask while I enjoy Ole Henrikson African Red Tea Mask. But along the way, I've noticed that he's embraced Jack Black's Grapefruit, EOS lip balm, Rosebud Salve and more. There is something about sharing beauty booty that brings people closer and even when you may not share with your boyfriend, you have an influence over your best friend, brother and more. The more I began thinking about how much beauty finds I share with others, I realized that there has to be a number of reasons that men provide as to why they do this! It also helps when there are amazing brands and lines that allow both genders to wear it as sharing is caring.

Each month, I will let you know about a beauty product or line of the month that is not only perfect for the guy in your life but that you can wear as well. This week Kitten Lounge names Gabriel Organics as the #1 Skincare Product Line That is Couple Approved. From products that calm your skin, have multiple exfoliating items, cleansers for body and face - we're loving that it's full of red algea, seaweed and so much more. We love that the blue bottles can easily be found in either of your weekender bags depending on who happens to carry it. But it makes us wonder why our guys enjoy bumming, adopting and finally storming the castle when it comes to our beauty gear. We want our favorite guys too vote and of course our kittens can weigh in on why their guys do. If you leave a comment, we will randomly select 3 winners to win goodies from our fave line on Valentine's Day.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin: Schumacher

The eyes of the Fashion world focused on Berlin with a number of shows - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin as well as the Bread and Butter Show which presents various brands and products that will launch soon! On Thursday, Schumacher presented their collection for Fall 11 and I have to say that not only am I in love with the handbags which look stunning but I love the two casual pieces. The line presented a number of 70's inspired vintage pieces that are ultimately classic. If you're going to have fabulous denim looks, this designer shows how you can rock it with scarves, jackets, layers, hats and of course amazing boots! Then this designer turns it up a notch with this amazing all black ensemble which is definitely a sophisticated Matrix inspired look with the phenomenal swing jacket paired with a corset top jumper. Wearable Wednesdays ~ His Style Carries

He runs all over the place from meetings, conferences and many trips. He has to look amazing but you can't forget about having the perfect bag! Whether you're guy in question is sophisticated, casual or a hipster, there is a perfect bag with him in mind! We're loving the Barbour Overnight Bag which is perfect for weekend trips on a romantic hideaway when you only need a few great tees and a sweater as you snuggle by the fire. When you're running around town and want to keep it casual, Rugby's Aviator Canvas is perfect running to the gym or even going away on weekends to pick fruits. Overnight conference trips beg for this Paul Smith Vintage bag which looks amazing no matter what you wear or what his style is (you'll fund that you want to take this too every now and then). Of course my favorite when you're doing some serious travel is the 1975 Rolling Trunk by Dooney and Bourke. I love the old world trunks and think this is the perfect when you're taking a long trip. It's so classy and one that will ensure that you look super chic.

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Daalarna

When I grew up, my weekends meant that I enjoyed watching CNN Style Watch each Saturday with Elsa Klensch (thanks Mariana Verkerk, Catwalk Queen who walked down memory lane with me) where she would show runway shows around the world. At an early age, I was mesmerized by the designs as well as seeing names that would become my early education in terms of fashion. When I travel, I love staying at some of the boutique hotels that have a designated fashion channel that shows many emerging as well as independent designers. I started blogging back in 2004 and when I started, what really got me excited about posting each day was talking about various fashion shows that happen all over the world. Back then, I wasn't even attending Fashion Week each season as I didn't have contacts but I loved seeing and introducing my readers to a number of designers that they may not have been aware of! Going forward we will bring you amazing shots from the runway each week. Much like we do during Fashion Week, you will see two fab looks from the show and we will pair pieces that would perfectly with them. This is also perfect as you will be introduced to shows that have recently taken place!

Before the end of last year, Hungarian designer, Benes Anita kicked off December showcasing amazing looks from her line Daalarna Design Studio at the Hotel Inter Continental of Budapest. I love the whimsy of the gowns which would be fab whether you are walking down the aisle or hitting the red carpet. I feel that when you have a dress that makes such a statement, sometimes it's nice to have one phenomenal piece. This dress is a mixture of modern vintage qualities, so why not pair it with a ring that has a nod to vintage sensibilities - I'm loving the ring by Armenta Heraldica. My favorite look from the show is the deep v neck draped top with the tap short. This would be perfect to wear while lounging in your Cabana in Vegas or in Miami while waiting for everyone so that you can hit some of your favorite lounges. The look can be completed with a cute clutch from Nancy Gonzalez and these super fab heels from Prada that add a bit of sexy pop to the entire outfit.

Treasure Tuesdays: Cozy Errands With Chanel

I have to say that there are days where I just need to be comfortable! That means I will rock a pair of leggings and have a cozy cardigan of sorts on. Now, I never know where I will be so having a fab pair of heels on is an essential. I just fell in love with an amazing accessory that will be apart of my collection - Marco Sydney. This designer has created a Vintage Button line and placed it as a ring! Now you can wear Chanel and if you talk with your hands like I do, then this will become one of your favorite rings to wear no matter where you are. For those of you in Brooklyn, you can see this fab collection at their first US store at Sir! Each of the rings within this collection are unique and one of a kind so you won't see yourself going and coming which is always important. Together this look is perfect to wear at the coffeeshop and when you're out and about going to meetings or hanging out with friends for drinks after work.

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Chanel Iman's Red Hanger Boutique

I have had the honor of seeing Chanel Iman at various runway shows including the most recent Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Lacoste and Rosa Cha! I love that she has a great high fashion look and yet we have seen her on Express campaigns as well as within this video as she takes you through her mom's new shop in Culver City, CA. The Red Hanger Boutique has vintage, pieces worn by Chanel Iman during her career as well as other interesting elements! Take some time view the video to find out about her personal taste! Mingling Mondays ~ Spicy, Sweet & Simple

I have been obsessed with eyelet since I was in the crib - literally. I came into this world with a room that was decked out in eyelet and as I grew up it moved from being in my bedroom to being within various pieces that I wore. Eyelet has such a Victorian and fresh look about it and yet you can still make it a bit edgy as well! This ruffle eyelet dress can go in a number of directions but paired with the Louboutin heels, the red of course takes it to another level and I love the glass slipper effect of this shoe! In addition, I'm also inspired by the whole Grecian goddess look so this coin necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane is a great way to add a different take to this look and end it with this fab Yochi Republic Ring! I love the mixture of metals that is in this piece and how it now has this vintage vibe which is always in! Maybe you're off to brunch, a rooftop party or a special dinner where you're waiting to hear very good news!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Vintage Femme Meets Rocker Skins

One of the things that I love most about my look is that I like to blend a lot of styles that may not seem to work and yet they do! I am all about a retro/vintage look - so I'm always interested in whatever Anthropologie happens to carry at the moment (at one time being a manager at the Rockefeller Center came in handy seeing the ever changing collection. I love that this top has a lot of embellishment and is super simple to pair over jeans or leggings. Of course, it's essential to have a great pair of Hudson Jeans. What I love about this pair is that they have a black coating which has a bit of a rocker look which makes your outfit go to the next level in terms of an edgy look.

Now with this retro top paired with the rocker chic pants, accessories are called for to take this look a head turning presentation. I love python and this gorgeous bag from CC Skye is a huge bag and one that is definitely classic. With the gold embellishments on the bag, you'll want to have a piece by Victoria Tillotson who is not only a fab jewelry designer but a teacher at the School of Visual Arts here in NYC. Not only would I love to wear this cuff but it says a lot as I typically love wearing sterling silver as opposed to gold. Finally to complete this look, I love the heels by Jessica Simpson which have a great retro femme effect. I feel that python is the perfect way to add a classic element to a look while making it pop and together all of this works well whether you're going out for drinks, meeting with investors, doing a run through of a show and more! Take some time to check out looks and to click the links above as well.

Fashionable Fridays ~ Lounge Fashionably

When I'm not running around the city, I love my weekends when I'm hanging out at our beach house in Long Beach! That means wearing lounging clothes throughout the day (you know that I love Victoria's Secret and their Pink collection and this long tank is perfect), getting some reading done (Julie & Julia looks like such a great movie that I want to read the book first) and to enjoy some amazing beverages. These glasses are from CB2 and are in a set of 6 with these super cute vintage labels! Although it's definitely hot out there, in Long Beach there is always a bit of wind (and I'm always on the balcony) so having a hoodie is an essential for the residents of our beach village - one again, it has to be Pink. So with the weekend around the corner, I think that we all need to find a way to enjoy our days off in the most relaxing way possible!

Treasure Tuesdays: A Pearl Isn't That Ancient

I am starting to embrace a type of accessory that has been very foreign in my closet! Although I liked looking at pearls, I never thought it would be something that I would wear. This all changed when Moon River Pearls reached out to me! Who knew that pearls could transcend so many styles and provide so many looks? I love layering my pieces with chokers or other bangles. The pearls that are shown below are full of color and go from Little Black Dress to an extremely casual outfit with jeans and there is absolutely no granny factor here! Visit the site and although there are the traditional pearls, I love that they have great looks that are outside of the box - you'll never look at pearls the same way again!

Trendy Thursdays ~ Mistral Soaps Basket

MistralbasketsThis week we have an amazing giveaway of 4 Mistral Soap bars for 4 lucky winners! To receive this luxury soap, you'll need to read the post from earlier this week on our giveaway that kicked off on Sun. As mentioned on this post, I became acquainted with this company while working as a manager at Anthropologie. I love that it has Shea Butter within its soaps and that there are so many scents that this makes the perfect gift to give to many people that you know from thanking people for allowing you to stay at their beach house to beginning to think about the holidays as the year is flying by!

Speaking of gifts, they have a section where you can either create your own basket or you can choose various sizes and decide upon a scent. When I saw this I instantly thought about gifts that someone creates at work! I know that many times there are price restrictions in terms of gifts and many times, a company may look at getting a great gift for $50. Fortunately this Medium sized baskets which has Grapefruit shown but there are others available, fits right in this price point. Within this basket, the intended recipient will receive a Shea Butter Soap, A Hand Soap and also Lotion as well. This is so cute and who wouldn't love the container and its overall presentation. Of course, if you are doing a special gift, you can make your own basket as well. I love this amazingly vintage approach to this company and encourage you to visit the giveaway link if you have yet to submit your comment to the post and of course visit Mistral to see all the scents that you're missing out on!

Fashionable Fridays ~ I Love Vintage Inspired

Unique_2I Love Lucy, Anthropologie and a lot of those ultra femme looks that bring the past into the present! There is something to be said about having an ultra girly look to go out for brunch, a rooftop party and much more. It sets you apart without a doubt. If you love this kind of look whether you love that which is from the Flapper Days of the 30's or super cute dresses from the 50's - Unique Vintage, is your store!

I love wearing dresses like this because I think that it shows the figure so well and looks amazing with peep toe pumps. This black and white polka dot dress is my absolute favorite from this site. I love the halter back and the bow (oh so Lucy) and I love that it zips up the back, has some ruching and is a little stretchy in the fabric. Of course you can have a cocktail party as well and pair it up with a cute apron from Anthropologie. As you walk around, you can also wear a super cute clutch with this as well which is another great touch. In addition to this style, there are so many other fab pieces that are definitely affordable that you should begin to include within your closet!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Exotic Love

Geishagirl One of my favorite movies and books is Memoirs of a Geisha. I love learning about another culture and period of time while also enjoying amazing outfits! There is something about this movie that inspired a variety of designers and beauty giants (I loved Fresh's collection which was absolutely amazing). Now this super cute A-Line clutch from Holland Cox is called 'Geisha Girl'! The exotic colors make you think of an amazing island. Not only is the color AMAZING but I love the vintage kimono silk which will look amazing with so many outfits (hello red carpet no matter where you go). Make sure you support local indies by showing the love by making some great purchases that everyone will love seeing you come and go in!

Wearable Wednesdays ~ We Love Wonder Woman

Ww I have been and always will be a fan of Wonder Woman. I used to love watching her when the show was on TV (and I love that it's out on DVD). If you're out and about with me, you know that I love my graphic tees. Nothing is better than being out and about during the weekend wearing any number of comfortable outfits. We're still in that great season where we can enjoy wearing a sweatshirt. Now with it being football weekends as well, this shirt is PERFECT to go to your friend's when you KNOW that you don't have anything that's team oriented. I love how this piece looks vintage, has that jersey look to it and is perfect to be layered with a super long tank top. So as you speed from Whole Foods to picking up puppy biscuits before your big game, make sure you pick this up at your local Forever 21 or online as well.
