I love the Fourth of July and the fact that it's tomorrow, my boyfriend and I have decided that today will be a shopping day! I love when he decides to shop as that means we will have to make some stops at a few places to have a drink every now and then. Now when it comes to themes, I know people will want to find ways to wear red, white and blue without making it look like it comes off as a costume. So for all of those who will be at rooftop parties or anything of that nature, I though a simple white dress would be a nice look. Then, build your love of red and blue with your accessories. You have to decide are you a blue or a red person? I decided that I love blue so I would rather my purse have this color and allow my jewelry to bring in the red. I also love sapphires as this is my birthstone and didn't want the blue clutch to seem like an after thought so I brought in the necklace. You could do the same thing if you're a red person and just switch up the colors. Either way, this is a great Americana palette while also being perfect to wear with other item! Take some time to think about how you will show your pride tomorrow night! I'll be in Brooklyn tomorrow at an amazing roofdeck!

Snazzy Sundays: Pics Can Update Your Look

Today is going to be a crazy day but in the midst of doing some work online, I had to work with some images that I had taken during a previous trip to South Beach a few years ago. I took amazing colors that I had taken in all of their vibrancy and changed them into Black and White and Sepia images. What an interesting touch it made! Not only will my project (which is soon to be unveiled) look amazing but I can now use this throughout my home to create a nice aged look! The actual cost, nothing but of course you can get interesting picture frames and now you have amazing art within your home! Take some time to look at some of your pictures and see what you can do and how you can take segments which add warmth to your abode.

Wearable Wednesday: Eyelet for All

My earliest memory of eyelet was when I was little. I had it in my crib and the growing up, I had it as a bedskirt. I was always fascinated with the delicate lace like fabric with the "little holes" as I used to say. I always associated this fabric with bedding coming in cream and white. But as I grew up, I realized that eyelet didn't have to be confined to just bedding and that it could be made to look very sassy while still being forward and sweet. Here are great looks that include eyelet with pops of color (who doesn't love yellow or blue). I also love that it is totally perfect for bed time. Eyelet is perfect to wear to a garden party or Hamptons event (once again the pop of color is noticed). Then again, it can be paired with jeans for a fun night out on the town! For a look that is perfect for pool side or a party by one, try the yellow tunic dress or even the blue top with a cute pair of leggings! Ah the versatility - something for everyone

Wearable Wednesdays: Proud as a Peacock

I love wearing simple pieces that wear well and have an interesting pop factor! This Peacock Racerback Tunic Top is super cute over jeans and leggings! I love that it is a cute white top that has the peacock feathers on it. This look is perfect when you think about warm summers and wanting to wear something amazing without have to do too much to it. Of course you can also put a cute chain or choker with this to complete the look. There are two other design elements that make this a great piece. The ruching on the neckline makes a bit of an elegance to this look so that it definitely looks casual but can also be slightly dresed up as well. In addition, I love the wide band at the bottom which allows you to play with the length of this as well. I love Forever 21 as I am guaranteed to always find something that looks amazing for a day but at the same time, I also know that I will always leave with much more than what I had intended to get. Ah what's better than visiting the store and purchasing and then being able to do so online as well?

I Love Lucy, Anthropologie and a lot of those ultra femme looks that bring the past into the present! There is something to be said about having an ultra girly look to go out for brunch, a rooftop party and much more. It sets you apart without a doubt. If you love this kind of look whether you love that which is from the Flapper Days of the 30's or super cute dresses from the 50's - Unique Vintage, is your store!

I love wearing dresses like this because I think that it shows the figure so well and looks amazing with peep toe pumps. This black and white polka dot dress is my absolute favorite from this site. I love the halter back and the bow (oh so Lucy) and I love that it zips up the back, has some ruching and is a little stretchy in the fabric. Of course you can have a cocktail party as well and pair it up with a cute apron from Anthropologie. As you walk around, you can also wear a super cute clutch with this as well which is another great touch. In addition to this style, there are so many other fab pieces that are definitely affordable that you should begin to include within your closet!

There is something to be said for classic lines, interesting prints and the use of classic colors too! All of that put together makes for a classic look that is also dynamic which will let you stand out. Sippin Saturdays: Head Down the Rabbit Hole

Who doesn't like finding a place that people are not familiar with? It's so much fun to try something new and to make sure that other people know that you are so the go to person to finding the best picks in town! Today, I introduce you to - White Rabbit which is down in the LES and is known for its crisp and minimalist approach which is great to go with friends or to take a large group of people. As you flip through the website, you will see all the angles within this club which has a beautiful bamboo bar! I also love that this place was named after a child's candy which is available on the bar - white rabbit. When it comes to items to nibble on, they have amazing shrimp wontons and summer rolls as well. What a great way to take a rest and to leave all thoughts of the city behind as you go into this amazing venue. Take a trip down to the LES and invite some friends along.

It's almost the end of the month and slowly but surely we will be leaving our theme of THINK CITRUS and will be moving on to another theme. I am actually excited about this and the fact that today is the first day of Spring! This means we are that much closer to being able to enjoy one of my favorite outfits that I could literally live in - bathing suits! This bikini is made by Diane Von Furstenberg. I love the orange, brown, yellow and white portions of this outfit and of course the sexiness of the ties are an amazing touch. I also love the little wooden embellishments that make this suit even more exotic! This is definitely a suit that you will continue to reach for when getting your beach bag again and again. Trendy Thursdays: THINK CITRUS ~ Take A Journey to the Runways of India

I love the fact that at any given time there are Fashion Week shows taking place around the globe. This is a great way to see the creativity of so many designers. In terms of staying with the theme of this month, I wanted to choose some amazing designs that have elements of THINK CITRUS. Thanks to the hard working people of Coutorture, I have included some of the posts and of course you can see a lot more from India Fashion Week and of course other designers that are currently showing in other Fashion Week Shows.

I love this outfit because of the super cute cami and skirt with this beautiful wrap across the top. This definitely makes me think of wearing this at a cocktail event on a beach or someones loft that has a beautiful deck. The embellishment is absolutely gorgeous and I enjoy the trims as well. I think that she definitely looks like a princess.

I have to say that this outfit is my absolute favorite! I love the pops of yellow and that it ties on the side. Once again I think there is something very regal about this and I love the black, white, silver and orange hues. You can never go wrong with a super cute clutch as well. This is definitely something that would be cute to wear at South Beach during some amazing event.

I like the blend of the sheer tones of orange and black. If I were wearing this, I would so wear this with Carnelian or an Agate stone that picks up these gorgeous tones. I love the beaded portions on the top of this dress and definitely feel that this is the perfect dress to wear to a gala and to set you apart from the typical "black gown" that people gravitate towards. When it comes to Pucci, I tend to love their shoes. They have fun abstract patterns that dress up even the simplest of outfits. This is perfect for short skirts, circular dresses and pants of various lengths. Wearable Wednesdays: THINK CITRUS ~ Sailor Jerry

While I was in Vegas, I had the opportunity to travel to the west coast in order to find out about a line that is Philly (I love that you can meet people from all over and then realize that they are practically in your backyard). With a debut at Magic, it was definitely exciting to see that this line not only has interesting clothing but they also have a rum line, Navy Aftershave and much more. Now I have recently fallen in love with lines that are all about showing tattoo art (Yellowman has been posted on here various times) and was interested in learning more about this super cute line, Sailor Jerry. I love this style of hoodie where the hood itself zips. When unzipped, this shows two anchors that are definitely noticeable. This would be so cute with flip flops and a cute pair of espadrilles as well! In terms of THINK CITRUS, you can definitely add in pops of color by pairing this with a lime, orange or yellow tank top with a cute pair of white shorts. I love that this line is design and manufactured in the US.

Snazzy Sundays: I am a Fan of CB2

It's time to think about simple and moderate ways that you can help yourself a bit when you have friends over. It's nice to have plates for nibbles and of course it's even better when it's not paper plates. Right now at CB2, you can get these super cute triangular plates which are perfect for sushi rolls when it's just you and a super cute date OR when you have a nice spread and friends are over. Nothing is better than knowing that you stepped up all your future events. These plates which have an interesting design on them are only $2.50! No mattter how small your budget is, you can definitely put this into the budget or ask your roommies to chip in if you have to. Never have a table that you can't feel fab about!

I love t-shirts! Those with graphics are even better! I think they're perfect year around and they can be layered as well. I love this shirt with the pops of yellow on it. What a sunny shirt to wear when you're out and about with friends on a weekend brunch, when you're traveling and want to wear something comfortable. I love the 60/70's "Love Theme" that seems like something Beatles oriented. The best thing about this shirt is that for under $9, it's all yours - what a great way to build your weekend wardrobe or your vacation one if you're about to head out on a trip. You have to love Forever 21 and if it's not in your area, you can shop online which is always a good thing! Check out more pieces on Forever 21 for you and others (great gifting).

Sippin Saturdays: Zhena's Aromatherapy

I have a new favorite brand of teas. It started while I was at Wholefoods a week ago spending about 20 mins browsing the tea section. I love Republic of Teas and a few other brands but nothing had jumped out at me until I saw this logo of Zhena's Gypsy Tea and I must say that I looked at the label and the antique like tins and thought that it would be interesting to try. Although there were a variety of teas, I settled on a sampler which contained Lemon Jasmine, Pomegranate Rose (my initial reason for purchasing it), Ambrosia White Plum (which became my favorite) and Sense of Peace. I have been sampling these teas and I love that it's Organic, Free Trade and for those that are concerned, it's Kosher as well. After visiting the site and learning about the tea, the care put into it, etc - I signed up on the mailing list. I believe that my next purchase will be Brazilian Berry or possibly Italian Chamomile. I also like the sound of the White Ginger Iced Tea as well.

With so many interesting blends, you'll find yourself drawn to something within the categories of Herbal, White, Green and Dark blends. Take some time to check out the site and look at the Aromatherapy Wheel where you can see what tea works best on what you are attempting to heal. In addition, you can find out where this is available in your area and for those that may not have it or are too excited to go - you can order online. This makes a great gift and is something that we should all drink to maintain our health!
