Treasure Tuesdays: Philly Edition ~ #PhillyMade #AccessoriesWeekend

This past weekend, I was invited via the Philly Tourism Board as last weekend was all about focusing on fashion, culture and just living it up when this city is only an hour and a half via train from NYC! Paul and I hit Amtrak and once we got into the city, we checked in at Kimpton's Hotel Palomar which is always a favorite of ours. Since it was pretty warm for a Spring day, Paul and I walked around the city to check out fun stores, historic buildings and of course good food! Roll over the above images to check out what Paul and I were up to on our first day in the city. Over the next few days, you'll see more of what we were up to as we had quite the itinerary!

Treasure Tuesdays ~ Accessorize Your Easter

Easter is around the corner and it's one of those holidays that I enjoy as it means a nice family dinner at home. Seeing that I'm steps from 5th Avenue, I love the Easter Parade. Accessories Expert or not, it's all about the fabulous (and shall we say most inventive) hats and then after it's time to enjoy my faves - deviled eggs, prosciutto, cheeses, and so much more! When Easter is held in our apartment, my basket is set up much like the one here (but much more items as there are people who come throughout the day). I am not really someone who eats a lot of sweets but for the kids at heart I have them (and Paul loves it) but I also bring a lot of beauty product out! Yes, it's true that I have a lot that's sent to me but I like to spread the love and to encourage my friends to enjoy new items so that they can include it within their routines!

My fave candy this year is Edward Marc and candies from William's Sonoma. Although there will be a number of beauty items offered, those swinging by this year can expect some faves including Yes to Carrots, Avon (as I am a Brand Ambassador for them for a second year in a row and love the goodies - I love sharing), Butter London and Deborah Lippmann. I supple a number of tote bags (as I always have a lot of those from events and people can select what they want. Roll over the images to find out what's in this basket and happy Easter planning!

Snazzy Sundays: Charleston Edition ~ Bring On the Foodie

I ended the week in Charleston, South Carolina as one of Shoe Week's clients were in need of our styling services for their inclusion within Charleston Fashion Week. Due to a number of things going on, I couldn't be there for an extended period so with less than 24 hours in a town that I had heard quite a bit about (once upon a time, I worked at Lacoste in the corporate headquarters as an Assistant to the Sr VP and at that time, our Chairman and CEO Bob Siegel was from Charleston and lived there while also spending half his week in NYC), I wanted to take in as much as I could. After settling into my hotel, I hit King St to check out stores, shops and of course, I had a checklist of items that I wanted to hit!

I love the quaint streets and the mix of some of my fave stores such as Williams Sonoma, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie etc with local shops such as Dumas and Sons. Since I hadn't eaten, lunch sent me to Boone's Bar where I checked off a Firefly Vodka cocktail - their Firefly Mojito was phenomenal. I love that this bar and restaurant had sports on, exposed brick and was excellent for people watching. With food being made to order, it was a little wait time but not by much and was so worth it when enjoying their Brie burger which also included mushrooms and some onions - so juicy.

After lunch and site seeing, I was off to Marion Square, the site of Charleston Fashion Week. With a flurry of shows, last minute run throughs and seeing how shoes provided by United Nude would look like with the perfect look from Expatriate Clothing, it was time to head back to my hotel (Holiday Inn, Historic Downtown) and to go to their restaurant, The Meeting Room. My dinner consisted of Shrimp and Grits with Andouille Sausage - such an amazing grouping of flavors as I love grits and can eat them in their savory state or sweet! I paired this with Fried Oysters which sat on a bed of diced vinegar green tomatoes! My drink was a Days Gone By which included Bourbon (everyone knows that this is one of my favorite spirits), RC Cola and a few other items mixed in. Most importantly, it was garnished with a Moonpie Wedge! I believe it had an orange flavor but it complimented the drink well and was the perfect item to complete this meal!

There will be a full recap on the show that I styled as well as the designer but for now, I'm definitely thinking that going back for their Wine and Food Festival next year would be a great idea!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Decor Gold

Although gold is not a color people see me wearing in my outfits, it is a color that I love seeing within decor options! I'm inspired by this fab art deco gold and emerald bracelet from Lucas Jack in terms of how to bring this within your home office. This wing tipped chair is the perfect way to establish your work space and of course work from this fab olive brand chest that is ornate.

Now it's all about the accents and the need to accessorize your space on another level. I love this leather Moroccan gold ottoman which can be used to prop your feet as well as to have extra seating space. This gold pillow is also a great choice with its ruching.

When the lighting's right you can get a number of items done and you never know when inspiration strikes so having this Antoinette mirror across the way to catch it is definitely encouraged.

Finally, feel like a queen by popping in emerald to the look whether it's your mug, toasting glass. Finally, even when you're working hard, your nourishment should still be presented in a fabulous way - like this Williams Sonoma fabulous platter which is made out of stone and accented by silver (not gold but I love mixing metal)!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Deck Your Holly

If you're running around today to get some last minute shopping done whether it's for gifts or to get your home in order for guests, it's not REALLY last minute as this is the day before Christmas Eve and the last Sunday prior to Christmas Day. The Kitten Lounge has been remote working on a number of fab updates that will take affect in the new year but we're definitely in holiday mode! Today, we're inspired by green and how this can be in your home as guests come over! As there is nothing wrong with a little sparkle, we had to share this show stopping dress that's perfect during the holiday season and is very regal by Alice + Olivia. This is perfect whether you're planning for a New Year's Eve party, an innauguration or another special event in your life.

Bring in some pop of this color as well as other hues of green with this vase by Crate and Barrel and an open mouthed container that's colorblocked at Anthropologie to add some decor options into your space. As you may be spending some hours cooking a fabulous meal or having others assist, ensure that you're in the holiday season with Staub's cooking set essentials (available at Williams Sonoma cooking) which is perfect for what you'll be having. Finally, sit down at your dinner table with plates by L'Objet Fortuny. From now until the end of year, we'll bringing some fun lists of things that we love, recapping over the following year and spending a bit of time down memory lane!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Rhuby Inspires Decor

My inspirations reach far and wide when it comes to putting a room together. The other week, I had the opportunity to try Rhuby, a liqueur that has rhubarb in it! Without a doubt I had to try it in at least 2 of the favorite ways that I like to have a beverage at home! My first choice was mixing it in tea. Thanks to my boyfriend's mom she has made me obsessed with the Breville (available at Williams - Sonoma which brews teas. Simply select your favorite then highlight the button that corresponds with your tea and you have the perfect cup. I have also been making iced tea by basically brewing it and then putting it over ice and making it in large pitchers. So after brewing some Jasmine Tea, I included some Rhuby which had a very nice flavor to it - super light and I didn't need sugar as the liqueur was all that I needed in it to make it sweet! She also got us the Penguin which turns water into seltzer (also available at Williams - Sonoma). I love this as I mix a lot of my drinks with seltzer and so I simply put in the Rhuby which allowed me to enjoy the full sweet and slightly tart taste of this drink! Although this is a beverage that comes out of Sweden, it just became available in NYC on June 1st so I will have to try other ways of having this drink and I can't wait to see the bottle which reminds me of perfume!

With such a fab pink hue, I thought of ways to bring this color into your home. Obviously in drinkware, I'm loving Anthropologie who has an Aldo pitcher perfect for making a number of drinks at one time and then these interestingly shaped glasses as well. When it comes to popping color on your couch, with the Monumento pillow. Fill this Kosta Boda bowl with some treats for a get together and even light a candle by one of my favorite brands, Vouspa in this pink citron scent!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Take a Moment

With Fashion Week (at least here in NY) behind us, I am taking a few days to regroup, organize and to prep before I head out to LA with Paul! There is no better way to do this than with tea! Much like the Penguin (which is still my fave as it turns water into seltzer), I am now tied with my obsession of Breville's One Touch Tea Maker also available at Williams Sonoma! You can select what kind of tea you are brewing and how many cups you'll enjoy. I love that even after brewing, it will still stay hot an hour later - yes the tea definitely tastes better and I can't have it any other way now! If you're going to enjoy your tea, you have to have other accessories!

I'm a huge fan of Moroccan design (and of Horchow), food, etc so these tea glasses are the perfect way to enjoy a cup of tea! In case there are spills, this tea towel, available at West Elm is perfect to have on hand. Williams Sonoma also has a Honey Dipper which I love as I generally put this in my tea as opposed to sugars, the spoon ensures that you have the perfect amount. Finally, present your tea whether it's for yourself or for a group, via R&Y's Augousti Large Shagreen Tray at Barney's.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Game Time

Earlier today we talked about you could ensure a fun and easy brunch so that you could prepare for setting up or heading out to your Super Bowl Party! At the end of the day, a fab party is about having a number of amazing treats (those that are catered, made and come right out of the box/bag) as well as beverages! Today. I'm obsessed and will be enjoying Popcorn, Indiana Chipins! This fab popped chip comes ina number of flavors and is simply better for you! Throw them in a Nambe bowl and create or purchase the dip of your choice to make this snack complete! While you're placing other amazing nibbles out for the spread, you always need to have the drinks flowing. I'm loving this large silver tub available at Williams Sonoma which will house all of your beers that need to stay chilled! Monogram this tub as well as these beer glasses from Pottery Barn - it adds a fun touch to any event. Finally, you know that you will have a few shots so have these glasses from Bormioli Rocco on hand! Since tonight is bound to be a long one, make sure you enjoy a Mercy prior to starting the game or right after. I can tell you that drinking this definitely ensures that you don't have a hangover to battle and that you'll be fresh for work the next day or whatever/wherever your day is meant to take you!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Pre-Game With Brunch

Later on today is the big game in my hometown! I would have loved to have gone back for the Super Bowl but then I think about the fact that Fashion Week is this week and I realize there is a lot to do! What I love about today is that you can enjoy normal Sunday activities such as a decadent brunch and then party it up for the game of the year. There's no excuse not to enjoy both! For those of you that are wondering what you will do to pull off your brunch segment, keep it simple! It's all about having nibbles placed on plates throughout your apartment - I'm loving Sur La Table's Kotobuki Flowing Brushstrokes Sushi Plate which allows you to use them to create little gathering spaces. For those that are looking for extra places to sit, you can't go wrong with CB2's floor cushions which make everything so much cozier. For those that opt for tea, I'm loving the vibrant color of these cups and saucers available at Bloomingdales by Jasper Conran. Bodum also has a fab teapot which is an essential and of course for those that are looking for morning cocktails, get fun glasses by CB2 and finally, bring tea, chocolates and Sunday to a new level by bringing the Salon Tea to another level with the Chocolate Truffles recipe that is provided below. Salon Tea's The Lover Chocolate Chai Tea is a natural aphrodisiac (so you can also use this as a special evening treat)

THE LOVER Chocolate Truffles (Makes approx. 24)

Ingredients:

· 2/3 heavy cream

· 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (cut into pieces and softened)

· 2 tablespoons of THE LOVER tea-chocolate Chai tea leaves

· 6 oz finest bittersweet chocolate, chopped

· 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Recipe:

Combine the cream and butter in a small saucepan and bring to boil. Stir in the tealeaves. Remove from heat and let steep for 3-5 minutes.

Put chocolate in a bowl and strain the cream mixture through a sieve over the chocolate: discard the tealeaves. Whisk the chocolate and cream mixture together until smooth, chill for approx. 2 hours until mixture is firm.

Dust your hands with a bit of cocoa (or cinnamon) then use your hands to roll the chilled chocolate mixture into balls.

Use 1 to 1 ½ tablespoons of chocolate mixture for each truffle. Drop the truffles into the cocoa, turn them until they’re lightly coated, and then place them in an airtight container. Store them in layers separated by wax paper.

Swoonfest Saturdays: Kimmie's 5s ~ NYE

My boyfriend's mom gave me a number of presents that I am super excited about from Christmas! Although I would never classify myself as a baker or a cook I like to play in the kitchen every now and then - we'll see how that progresses in 2012! When I came over one day, I was introduced to the Penguin SodaStream. I love that being someone who loves seltzer that I can turn regular water into this and add flavors into it as well! This is also an amazing way to make a number of beverages (alcoholic or non) that are perfect for New Year's Eve!

Since tonight is the big night, there are always those that weren't sure what they were going to do and decided to throw something at home! Get your Penguin (which also comes with a carafe) and after chilling the water, tapping the button allows your water to become carbonated which can be drank alone or with such beverage syrup choices (I love the Pink Grapefruit, Ginger etc) that come from the SodaStream company or you can find items at your preferred store! You can also mix in other bubbly options and more. Make a number of beverages ahead of time and place them in the Stacked Optic Glass Beverage Server or make individual items by using a major Martini Shaker. Of course it's all about the glassware so make sure to have something fun like the ones here from Bloomingdales.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Coral Inspirations

I love that coral can either be that chic lighter tone that makes you think of the Hamptons and subtle spring hues or the rich deep hues that invoke notions of Morocco! The entire look was created from a fabulous Missoni dress that has shades of coral, light mauve and white. This look made me think of all the ways that this color can work within my living space. I am obsessed with Anthropologie's small market basket that you can imagine placing fruit in and other tasties. Continuing into the kitchen, the rich tones is the Noritake Coral Soup Bowl. When it comes to your living room this bench by Ballard Designs is apart of a much larger collection but is a great way to bring in that sense or old world or you can place it in your bedroom to add a bit of edge to your sheets that are available at Williams Sonoma. Finally, add a touch by bringing in a fun bauble which is available at Gump's.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Set the Holiday Table

The holidays are definitely here whether you're thinking about the major ones you participate in OR you think of all the ways that you think of having people over as we build up to the big days! Your dining room table becomes even more appropriate and should be dressed accordingly! We were inspired by Interior Design Expert and Founder of Dinette.com, Michael Craig (stay tuned to what you can do with your space by following @DinetteGuy who is familiar with maximizing spaces and seeking the luxe in glam in a number of ways! It's always about the details and ensuring that your personality comes through as well so that your eating space reflects your overall living space! Dinette.com is a great source to get a fabulous table within a number of styles that speak to you - just like the table above.

Just as Michael believes that you can jazz up your fave couch with fun pops of color with pillows, your table can get the same treatment with napkins - I'm loving the boho chic vibe of these napkins by Williams Sonoma! They are a great and easy way to make your table phenomenal and get napkin rings (loving the ones available at Barney's New York which plays to my keeping it natural but glammy sensibilities) that are interesting - you won't have to worry about how to fold your napkins and it's a great conversation piece. Michael believes that you can quickly luxe your table by, "adding a shiny bowl to your tabletop - nuts look great in a glitzy silver bowl". His belief here can also be said for choice in flatware and other serving platters and bowls. Whether you opt for silver, gold or bronze - it looks amazing! Horchow is our constant friend on Kitten Lounge and we love that they offer a number of options from one of our favorite designers, Michael Aram when it comes to serving your guests items. In addition, how can you not love the flatware that calls to the Bronze Age and is available at Anthropologie.

With all the meals that you will be hosting and the fact that some guests may definitely come more than once, make sure to add in candles - a fab suggestion by Michael as it sets the mood whether you're going for something romantic or simply want to awaken the senses to appropriately set the mood. Bring in your aesthetic but we don't need to say everything about ourselves at once - I love looking at pictures but even Michael says, "edit your framed pictures - too much is too much". Finally, lighting is everything and he suggests, "dimmers are key - mood lighting always helps control the ambiance".

Snazzy Sundays ~ Mud Room Inspired

This weekend we had fab weather but when I think of the fall, I think about beginning to add on layers - especially those you put on in case of inclimate weather. Growing up, when I visited my grandparents in Jersey, we also put items away in the Mud Room. This room was intended for rainy gear or umbrellas; however, we also used it for much of our outerwear. So in thinking of the Mud Room I instantly thought about these super cute Ashdale slip on shoes from UGG Australia that protect your feet from being wet but allow you be without your boots. I would wear this with jeans or other items and only when the rain wasn't torrential. Thinking of these fab hues, I thought about that cabinesque masculine since of hues and how this can pop up throughout your living space from red, blue, green and tan.

To start, your living space needs that leather chair from Ethan Allen and this rich tan hue is perfect as it's unisex in tone and begs to be dressed with this fab throw from Anthropologie. Lean back in the chair for the ultimate cozy factor by popping in a fun blue tone with this pillow. When you think about relaxing and braving the elements, who doesn't want a pop of red color for your fave mugs from Sur La Table and this vegetable bowl is perfect for snacking at Cooking.com! Keep things close and uncluttered with these spice boxes from William's Sonoma.

Finally, that great Mud Room/Ralph Lauren feel to this entire space can only be upped by actually dressing your dog in this Big Pony Dog Polo which is super cute and cozy!

Swoonfest Saturdays ~ Sake in Style

Today is National Sake Day which kicks off the sake season (and the 1st day of October can you believe next month is Thanksgiving!?!)! My Glammie Kittens know that I love sake and enjoy drinking it with a number of dishes but on this day, it's all about having it with Sushi. Of course you could go out and enjoy an amazing spread but sushi is so amazing when it's made at home and you can invite people over. So how does one create a snazzy sushi spread? First of all you have to have great beverages I'm a huge fan of Gekkeikan which is one of the leading brands with a number of sakes and plum wines within their company! Below, I have a fab recipe that you can make. For those who love sake, they can have it alone or make a nice martini. Plum wine is always a nice sweet beverage to have as well to shake it up a bit! Above is an image of the rice patties where they harvest the crop in order to make the decadent sake that will be enjoyed throughout the year! I'm loving the Sake cups and pitchers that are great way to jazz up your affair available at Sur La Table.

As many of you know, one of my dear friends works with Uoriki Fresh which comes from the Tsukiji Markets in Japan. They're known for a style of frozen fish that allows it to arrive here in the US fresh after you thaw it out by simply leaving it on your counter before you begin using it. With this fish, you can make a number of rolls which is fun to do whether you do it in advance or have guests come to make their own! Definitely make it easier on yourself by having a rice cooker which ensures perfection each time and is available at Williams Sonoma. In terms of presentation it's all about having phenom chopsticks (loving the stainless steel) which you can get from Cooking.com and these GORG Agate plates and coasters which add a nice natural flair thanks to Viva Terra. Finally, the guest needs to match the sentiment of the event. During NYFW, I rocked this Nanami dress during my Meet and Greets at Robert Verdi for the launch of my Kimmie Smith x Sebago Spring 12 line. This dress by Josie Natori can be worn alone or over leggings if you choose. I love that although it's not quite a kimono, it's done in the style and essence of one and has gorgeous colors and tones to it! Make your night or brunch fabulous today and below is one of my fave drinks known as the Gekkeikan Apple Blossom by Todd Richman.

Gekkeikan Apple Blossom by Todd Richman

4 parts Gekkeikan Sake

1 part Kobai Plum Wine

1 part Cranberry Juice

1 part Apple Juice

Top with Ginger Ale

Combine ingredients (except the ginger ale) in a mixing glass, add ice and shake well. Pour into a tall glass and top with ginger ale. Garnish with a green apple slice.

Snazzy Sundays ~ A Night In the Movies

Have you had those days where you get dressed and realize that you never left the house? I think the same thing can be said about times when you want to stay in whether it's alone, with your sig other or a few friends. Sometimes going out is a bit of a hassle so why not have your own theater setting to watch movies, sitcoms, dramas and more? Today we focus on building your home theater! Now everything may make sense except for the lantern but as an Accessories Expert, let me tell you that there are times when my jewelry doesn't make it to my appointed jewelry box. Having a place to keep it in the living room that's not an eyesore is a must! So in the midst of all the Pottery Barn items that have been included, I suggest this lantern which is phenomenal as it doubles as jewelry storage! In addition, Pottery Barn has leather theater quality reclining chairs that are a must (and must be perfect for a snoozie). House your favorite plasma screen in this fab wood cabinet which is a bit of art on the wall when not in use and then opens up for all your shows and is available at Neiman Marcus. No night in would be complete without a frosty beverage and popcorn! Get your mugs ready for your favorite draft with the ability to monogram it at Williams-Sonoma, as opposed to buying your popcorn packets, this popcorn machine and popcorn bowls at Sur La Table compliment the perfect night in at the movies!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Ice Princess

Princesses need their space to reflect the peace and serenity that we so need in our lives! Today, I'm inspired by icecream and the soft tones that we think of when it comes to this sweet and creamy treat. I'm loving this comfy chair and imagine it being in a room with white furniture. Of course, there is nothing better then enjoying your treat as you also have an amazing fragrance wafting through your room of zen! What a great way to bring summer in and even when it's the fall, it's nice to have that girlie vibe within your home! Take some time to check out some of our fab finds from Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Volupsa!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Frosty Treats

I have to say that when you've been begging for hot temperatures, there are going to be days that you simply want to beat the heat! The idea of leaving home seems to be a daunting task. When I think of the summer, I think of gelato, sorbet, icecream and anything cool and frosty! The other day I happened to be going through Crate and Barrel and loved their entire line of icecream and sorbet items that are perfect for BBQs, roofdecks, balconies and so much more. Whatever frosty treat you'll be enjoying is best served in either regular sized or mini latte bowls from Anthropologie, scooped out with a paddle from Williams Sonoma and fun sterling silver spoons! Start getting your kitchen ready for all the frozen treats that are bound to get you through the summer.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Summer Kick Off

Happy Summer Kick Off! We made it! As you read this I am running through the airport so that I can get my summer started off as I spent a portion of my long weekend on air rocking it out on HSN for Sebago! Interestingly enough, our show was slated within the Americana Show which embodies everything about those great American classics. We all know what the summer means for us when it comes to the foods that we eat, how we dress etc. Whether this weekend means that you'll be rocking the classic red, white and blue or that you simply enjoy coming together - we know that you're bound to have fun. I believe that the summer is about coming together and enjoying good stories, food and beverages and having that on hand is the main ingredient to whatever your plans or last minute decisions that you make. Whether you have a large space or not, I'm loving floor pillows which keeps it casual, platters for appetizers, a cookbook of easy recipes and of course pitchers for all the bevvies that people can enjoy! I'm loving that these brands are great go to's for home decor - Williams Sonoma, Diane Von Furstenberg, Macy's and Pottery Barn.

Snazzy Sundays ~ Crispy Greens

I love salads anytime of year but it's around this time of year that I can eat it every single day. Now it's not to say that I eat a minimalist salad, I love tons of goodies as well as creamy dressings! When it's super hot outside, I think it's amazing to have a large bowl of salad (love the natural look) and it's nice every now and then to make it myself. I love having a nice wooden bowl and being able to serve those who are enjoying it with me. In addition, homemade dressing will never have to be mixed in a bowl thanks to this mixer. Complete the perfect look with decorative salt and pepper shakers (am a huge fan of Michael Aram as I just received a picture frame of his) and have your trusty cookbook nearby so that you can have dining options!

Snazzy Sundays ~ My Little Southern Belle

Just like yesterday, I'm attending a number of fab bridal shows during Bridal Fashion Week with a full recap on Tues! But as many of you know, I do love popping into the kitchen every now and then. With a busy schedule, it's hard for me to do so all the time but as my boyfriend will tell you (hello I made him Matzo Ball Soup), I am committed to doing it once a week! This week I received Southern Biscuits, a cookbook dedicated to biscuit making including a number of ways you may have never thought about these doughy treats! Of course if you take some time out of your day to make these delectable items, you have to look the part no matter what. Click over to Anthropologie for a start by getting a super cute robe which is an essential as flour is bound to get everywhere. Then tab over to Williams-Sonoma to get a proper rolling pin which jazzes up and kitchen and since presentation is always an essential, get a fab platter which will make your creations beyond amazing!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Setting the Table Naturally & Completely

As many of you know, I moved in with my boyfriend and there's nothing better than a blank canvas to create something fashionable and cozy. I have had nothing but inspiration as I am so excited about doing cocktail parties and dinners. I love playing hostess more than anything and as he is allowing me to have quite a lot of creative freedom, just tack on Interior Designer to my list of "things that I do and rock at". So with Easter coming up in April and in hopes of having a house warming in May, my initial focus is the dining area! The other reality is that you guys know I do quite a bit of photoshoots and vlogging from my home so some of my ideas will actually be posted on this site. Although I have a laundry list of areas to tackle where people eat and what they eat on is so important. I am obsessed with West Elm's Farmer's Table. I grew up eating on something like this with pilgrim benches there is something so historical about it! So seeing the table definitely makes me pleased although I'm so not a red girl when it comes to chairs.

Interestingly enough, I like popping in a little red every now and then and having these pantry napkins - so cute and being a fan of Williams-Sonoma (they have these Southern Style Biscuits that are ridic and I am quite good at making them) they're perfect to complete your meal and to dress it. Many of you know that once upon a time ago, I was the Home Manager at the Anthropologie at Rockefeller Center here in NYC. I am obsessed with their bowls, bedding and a number of their clothes but the Sun Tipped Silverware has a bit of that antiqued gold with a bit of cherry wood which makes any table pop. Finally, we all know that I love DVF, but the fact that I can actually have her in my home when it comes to accent pieces - I'm beyond thrilled and love the natural nature of these napkin rings (I know Bethenny questioned whether her and her husband were napkin people on Bravo's Bethenny's Getting Married, but I can assure you that this is an essential to any home whether it's a nice dinner for two or you're having some people over.

Over the next few months you will see different items that will be coming into our new space and of course you will also see them in pictures and video. Many people wonder how they can upgrade their spaces whether it's in prep for the holiday season or the summer and I'll share with you many of the choices that we're making and where the items come from as everyone like a fashion home decor tip off!

Snazzy Sundays ~ Oscar Cocktail Parties

Tonight is one of the biggest nights in terms of awards with the 83rd Academy Awards for the Oscars airing and for those that love seeing as much glitz and glamour as possible, we'll all be glued to watching our favorite Red Carpet coverages. I'll be watching E! Red Carpet to get up to the minute access on all the dresses, accessories and more. Tomorrow, you'll see my faves and of course we will all want to know the misses which you can catch back on E! during Fashion Police with Joan Rivers! But in the midst of the show and programming wrapped around it, there are the parties. Whether you've organized something officially or are just thinking of it, we thought we would give you a hand.

As many of you know, Kitten Lounge started with a decor component and last summer, we decided to switch it out for other content. But based on comments, suggestions and fun partnerships - we're bringing it back. To get us back on track, we're presenting fab items from our fave stores that you can still run out and get some items to be Oscar watching ready! We love Pottery Barn, CB2, Crate and Barrel and West Elm! Although we don't have Williams-Sonoma, we're a fan of them too! You know that cocktails are an essential but when we think about nibbles you know that it's always a hit when it comes to cheese and sushi - or anything that you can just grab and munch on! It's nice to have an ongoing spread that is within reach so that you never have to look away from all the drama. We'll keep you in the loop on what we're loving as we will be tweeting from the start of the red carpet action and we will also let you know about people we love that are on the carpet covering live as well! Make sure to follow @Cocoabebe and @KittenLounge with the hashtag #KLOscars to stay tuned.

Snazzy Sundays: Sit Back

We all have different styles but we all like the idea of having our own chair. This chair is where we come to when it's been a long day or where we could spend a rainy day! I actually love all of these chairs and if I had to choose, it would be between the Pottery Barn chair and the one from Rooms to Go. I have to say that the chair from Wisteria is definitely a great chair that I could do my jewelry in as it has that great boho vibe to it! Whatever it is that you gravitate towards, find your chair that's perfect for reading, watching TV (it's the Oscar's today) or coming up with that next great idea!
